Haha - I never went there.
ETA: Barbara: You can disable the autocorrect on settings. It is hell on wheels.
-
I disabled autocorrect after my fat fingers typed "dick" instead of "sick," with predictably hilarious results. Not living that one down -- EVER! Still ROFL...
-
HL,
Woodies & Finks. I still feel guilty for leaving the area. Sigh.
-
Maybe Dick was sick?
-
Blue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Bwahahahahahah!
-
Welcome changes! I can't keep up with this thread. These ladies are chatty.
-
What??? Susan K8-I don't know about anyone else here, but as soon as I see a cut and paste article my eyes glaze over.
Why don't you put it into your own words what you are trying to say?
Mary
-
The idea that drug companies pay patients to promote drugs on social-media sites, without disclosure to other site readers, is really creepy. I thank you for bringing the article to my attention, SusanK8.

Robert (my 5-year-old) received a get-well card from his aunt and uncle with $1.00 in it. He wanted to get both a toy and a donut, so he suggested we cut it in half to make $2.00. I think he might be onto a solution for our national debt crisis...
-
I love Robert!
-
Night night all. !!!
-
Joan ... LOL at Robert. That young man is thinking!
Susan ... I wish I could say that the article is a surprise. I like this site to check on drug side effects ... it's reviews by people who have taken the drugs http://www.askapatient.com/ Wonder if that is the kind of sites they are 'planting' people in?
What I really hate is those TV ads. We laugh at the images they portray and then comes that list of usually horrible possible side effects ... read as fast as possible of course. I think they made them list the side effects to try to discourage advertising but obviously it didn't work.
-
'Night Kira! And Barbara (if you haven't all ready gone to bed)!
Jancie, so sorry you have to undergo that procedure -- hope you can get relief from the pain.
Joan, I love Robert's math !!!!
Luan, sorry to hear your appetite's not right -- not a good feeling, I know...
Covertanjou, we must meet up !!! I don't think next week will be nearly as hot as last week was, so that's good!
Alyson, good to see you!
I do love beets, and asparagus -- whereas brussel sprouts must be roasted perfectly in order for me tolerate 'em -- go figure!
-
Did the kitty come back?
I hate zuccinis too
-
WR, like this one?
-
If I was a betting person I would bet that mom somehow made the math work so he got toy and donut both???
I used to take my niece shopping with her XMas gift money from us. She would spend great amounts of time calculating and thinking about how much she wanted each item. But she usually ended up with at least a little more than she would have if I hadn't been there
I just waited until after all her decisions were made to add a little extra or two. -
blue ... bwahahahaha! Exactly
-
WR, you would so win that bet. He's an only kid to a late-in-life mom, so of course he's going to be spoiled way more than he should be. I can't take him into a store without him walking out with some trinket. I'm such a sucker, and he's a pretty good negotiator.
-
Don't feel bad ... my daughter is 32 and she still usually walks away from our shopping trips with some kind of trinket. And she never asks ... it's just a mom thing I guess

"I hereby testify that I have never received any compensation whatsoever, of any variety, in exchange for my mention of the drugs or therapies I have been given in the treatment of my breast cancer."
That oughta take care of it.
Mr. otter decided to watch the animated movie (a.k.a. "cartoon") "Up" on TV tonight. I can't believe he chose that one over everything else. I quit watching when Ellie died and left elderly Carl alone in the house they'd built together. That's not true -- I didn't quit watching. I read ahead on imdb to see how it would end, and then I started watching again.
D*mn. I'm sitting here crying over a stupid cartoon. Having BC has done something to me emotionally. [Time out while I watch the rest of the cartoon.] It was okay -- the ending was pretty good after all.
Now we have to decide how many pieces of custard pie we should cut: 6 or 8?

Ditto. And I want some custard pie!

I can't keep up with this thread! I'm gone a few hours, and there are 6 pages to read!
Welcome to our new posters! Nice to see that food is indeed the universal language -- after love of course.
Ann, I will PM you in the next few days with my schedule for next week---it would be wonderful to meet you!
-

we are getting so broke 50 bucks here, 50 bucks there.. 2000, 1000.. as if we were rich or something. there are too many disqualifying verbs in that pasted article btw. 'could' for instance.. they 'could' be compensated.. LOL
