Faith, I took them at the NY State Balloon Festival
-
I am at my next door neighbor home..... Playing on her iPad.
Do any of you have one?
This thing is so cool!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the experiment, beaches -
I have one and LOVE it. Mine is the iPad 2. So cool!
-
Every dog in the New York state would have been whining under a bed with all those balloons!!!!
-
Faith - I have an iPad 2 also and love it. Really is cool isn't it?
Lisa - I would love to ride in your beautiful baloon. When is lift off?
-
Thanks for the technology feedback beachies.
My neighbor's is the iPad 2 as well. I just can't believe the thing! WOW! My husband seems to think that I should get the Android version -- to keep us on the PC side of the equation.
I don't know how they compare. The pros & cons.
Anybody with any insight???
Not sure if this is the right time or not. I could give myself a half birthday present, right??
Do any of the rest of you ever "justify" a purchase such as this?? I'm sure that I don't absolutely 'need' this, but wowzers are they cool!!!
Appreciate any & all feedback.

Faith - if it is fun and I can find where I would use it, I get it. I keep all my books for school and pleasure reading on it as well as my entire brain is in my iPad 2. I carry it everywhere since it fits so nicely in my purse. I even keep my shopping list on it. Plus there are all the games and interesting apps. I have several space exploration ones, cooking/recipe ones, medical ones, arts & crafts one, movies and am always adding new ones that I find are interesting. Great for when I am traveling since I no longer always have to take my laptop. We are a dual platform house, I use Apple and DH uses Dell with Windows Vista. He will be changing to Apple on the next upgrade for his system. Apple laptops and desktop systems will also run any Windows platform you want. I was a die hard PC person until I got my Macbook Pro, then the IPad, then the iPad 2. Gave the iPad to a very special young boy that fell in love with it, I knew he would use it for his studies as well as have fun, besides it gave me an excuse to get the iPad 2. I just loved the look on his face when he opened it! I love making smiles like that.

This is the favorite flower of someone we all know
Saw it this morning
-
Lisa - as usual, beautiful picture.
-
amyjo, saw it on my way to the base today
-
Lisa - so glad you are posting such beautiful tictures for all of us to see. I have not been able to get a good picture in a long time. Hands shake too much some days, I think I need to start using a tripod.
-
Hi Beachies!!!
All the pics are just BEEEEUTIFUL!!!!
Hope everyone is having a wondermous day!!
We just took a little trip to the Gulf Coast. This was our view from our front porch. It was HOT, but still very relaxing!!!
-
Looks WONDERFUL Coonie!! You must have had a glorious time!!
AmyJo, I've had to use a tripod for a couple of years now. Using digital instead of film has helped for some reason. I don't know if it captures the picture quicker than film...
...but I can usually, but not always, get a decent picture of a flower.
-
omg look at that pix!!! Beautiful!!
-
There's times I just wanna crawl right through the screen and hug each and every one or you.
Today's one of those days.
We're safely here in Augusta GA.... were able to spend much of today with my parents -- just the four of us and it was so delightful, just to sit and visit. Calm. Quiet. Lovely.
Things will start heating up tomorrow as more of us converge and then all the festivities for my niece Kelly are actually on Saturday. Fun!!!

Hi ! 3 jays after a long time I saw your posting. Good to know you are enjoying your grandchild. My grandaughter , she is about 8 years has also become addicted with computer. These days are their days so different from our time as they are so fast. Still I am finding difficult sometimes with my Laptop, you know she helps me to solve my problem. Tomoro I will be flying to New Delhi for check up. See you next week.
-
Good luck on your check up tomorrow raj!!! Always good to hear from you.
3jays, I don't think I posted anything amazing........
Lisa, LOVE, love, love the old boat floats!!! If I got that shot on holiday I'd be happy enough to go home!!!!! Maybe I have to come visit your part of the world. I've been to northern California to San Franscico to down as far as Carmel, then very far down the pennisula to Loretto in Mexico, but nowhere in between. Get's me thinking......
-
Chabba, meant to say, love the pic of the pelicans...the laziest birds in the world!!!! They make me laugh when I come in off a boat trip and they assume we've been fishing (we were diving) and they wait for food!!! I pretend to throw something and they all aim for it. They fall off the rocks to get flying just before they hit the water. I have a pic of a blue boat that is pretty much white that I took in Greece, from the pelicans roosting on it. (Boy was that ever a bad sentence!!! I'm going to leave it in as a lesson to you all to not type before you think!!)
