Thinking Out Loud.....

That IS a good one Sheila
Did you get a bathing suit yet?Deb - Sorry you have to have still more tests - fingers crossed for good results.
Blondie - hoping Zometa side effects are not too bad for you. She is my daughter-in-law. I did the invitations with my son's name first because that is how I speak of them. I am sure her family does the opposite. I can assure you my son would not ask that his name be put first. Yes, this is at my house. I live in downtown and so I have no yard - my yard is on my roof. The party will be up there.
Chris - I am always disappointed in myself when I read how often you are on the elliptical.
Linda - I also love a good thunderstorm.
Meece - haven't seen you around much. Hope all is well.
-
Sorry Diane - I don't mean to make anyone feel bad. I put on extra pounds last month during vacation and I'm trying to take them off so I'm trying to be more consistent with my exercise. Unfortunately it's making my foot hurt more. I hurt it last September doing the Relay for Life. It hasn't gotten better. Dr. says it could be tendinosis. That doesn't sound good. If it stays worse, I'll have to see what I can do about it. Maybe a cortisone shot? The plantar faciitis was making it hard enough to exercise as much as I want(need.) Sheesh.
-
Do you have inserts for your shoes Chris? For the plantar facitis? If not try them. Spenco makes a good one, or for less expensive ones, you can buy them at Walmart, CVS etc. I hear they work!
-
Chris...I had that years ago, had Xrays it was so annoying. For 2 years i wore sneakers even in the middle of the summer. Then one day it disappeared. I know I'm weird.
Diane...no bathing suit yet

today it's the perfect day weather wise. Mother Nature outdid herself.
Weigh the same. I'm doing some food cleaning today that includes my friends eggplant par.........
Good Morning All.
Time for coffee

-

See you later.............♥
-
I did get some inserts, but I haven't used them. When I got them, the guy said I had to get used to them. Just run a mile in them at first and then work my way up. Well, I don't have time to run just a mile - I need to run as far as I can as often as I can - lol. So I haven't even used them yet. But I also haven't had plantar faciitis pain - lately. I just have bad feet. Horse feet. When I went to the foot doctor 2 yrs ago - when I was maxed out on my copays for the year with cancer tx - to see about having surgery on a bunion I'd had since I was 18, but had been really bothering me for 3 yrs - he said I had and equinus foot structure - or something like that. Where the front of my foot drops so it looks like a horse's foot. The horse's hoof is really its toes and the heel is off the ground. Anyway- so horse feet, high arches, narrow heels (oh and short toes) don't make for a good combo. I rarely wear shoes - they hurt my feet. I go barefoot at home and I wear little sneakers the rest of the time. Easy Spirit - Motion - which really aren't that good - they don't have much, if any, support, but I don't want to wear big bulky sneakers unless I'm exercising.
Speaking of mother nature - I could tell last night that the front had gone through and the wind had switched to the north because the highway noise was really loud. It's amazing how on humid nights when the wind is from the south, I don't hear the highway much, but on cooler nights with the wind from the north, it sounds like the highway is in my front yard. Not sure how far away it is - a mile maybe?

Thanks guys, so not looking forward to it, just b/c as I said I thought that part was over for a long time....no daughter told me "she can't handle what is going on with me" so we really aren't talking cause it goes on with me all the time, am going by myself as far as I know, nobody offered AND they are working. So tired of looking at the eyes and the faces of sadness on them. I actually told a childhoo friend of mine last night and she called the other friends (there were 4 of us that hung out together and have been friends for 45 years) and they both called me, felt so good. My kids basically are not dealing with it and the boys are left to be with me full time and deal with it alone...
Anyway, I am taking my MP3 player and there is a tv and it is only 1/2 hour, I can do it, I can do it......
Now Diane well that explains everything the DIL part cause your son probably doesn't care that much....are you close to her? The roof well that is fun, lol.....tell us more about it?
Elipicall as I said I look at it and feel guilty all the time....
Linda....how r u?
Seyla, you made me smile again am stealing the joke....
Chris....how r u?
-
Yes you can do it, Sandy! We will be there with you in spirit, holding your hand. Big (((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))))) Glad your friends called you and made you feel better. I hope they keep in touch and give you the support friends should give.
Don't feel bad about the elliptical. It's handy to have IF you feel like doing it. I like to run - well, I can't really call it running these days, but because of my feet (used to be my knees, but now it's my feet holding me back). And I can't "run" as much as I'd like because of the heat so I've been doing the elliptical. I have to be careful though - I will hurt myself if I do too much. I feel rickety these days. Like one wrong move and I'm going to throw out my back or sprain a joint. Sucks.
Wasn't careful when I stretched this morning when I was waking up - started to get a cramp in my calf. Ever since I was pregnant with DD, I've had to make sure I don't stretch with my toes pointed or my calves cramp! My calves are fatigued from exercise, so they cramped even easier than usual this morning. Luckily I was able to grab my foot and stretch it to stop the cramp in time. Sucks getting older.
-
Did you get out for a walk this beautiful morning, Linda? I hope so! Hope you get out for a walk today too, Sheila.
-
Sandy....I hope you are home and kinda resting♥
I got my lipid test results. They are excellent maybe the lab made a mistake LOL So this means i can eat anything i want gain 10 pounds and get the best results.

On the other hand i scared myself at the fitting room today. Very scary. I didn't buy a thing of course they hardly had any 1 piece bathing suit left.
Well I'm happy and disgusted at the same time. I have to accept what I am and get over it.
DR says Keep up the good work and continue your low fat diet. hahahahahahahahahahaaaa

-
Congrats on the good test results, Sheila. They really do have to get better mirrors in those dressing rooms.

Hope things went well today, Sandy. ((((((((HUGS)))))))))
-
Yea Seyla hope the tests worked out, and thanks for your support BUT...the dr. never ordered any blood work (last one done may 16th) so I didn't get it have to probably go back tomorrow after they get the results of the bw!!
whats for dinner, I made hamburgers!!
-
We had leftover grilled chicken and corn on the cob and green beans and pasta salad. I had just a small piece of chicken and a roll with margarine on it and a half an ear of corn since there weren't enough leftovers for everyone. Kids had some pasta salad for a snack earlier. I can't win - most of the time I end up throwing food away because no one eats it - otherwise there isn't enough and I don't get any. So annoying. Oh well - that leaves room for dessert later! Not healthy - but yummy.
DS is finally having his friend sleep over. BUT his friend doesn't have a sleeping bag - and our sleeping bags need to be washed. And all my sheets and blankets have been in closet for a while and aren't "fresh" - if that makes any sense. Now I don't know what to do. I'm tempted to do a wash. yeah - maybe that's what I'll do. Too bad though - the washer will be making noise where they will be hanging out. I just can't win. -
chris...I just dropped 2 loads of wash. Our laundry room closes at 9.

Tomorrow morning i will be a happy woman because of that.I had my last leftover chicken with veggies , corn will be my snack later.
-
You are so healthy, Sheila - having corn for snack. You put me to shame.
Sandy - when will you know if you are supposed to go back tomorrow? What is WRONG with these people? You'd think they've never done this before! Frustrated along with you.
-
I wanted those scans done, cuz I have to know if it is B9 reasons the TM is up. CT scan Saturday.
-
When will they have answers for you, Deb? Soon, I hope. (((((((((Deb)))))))))
-
YEA CT scans on Saturday and it is the dr. don't know what is wrong with him...he hasn't ordered BW since May. I have to call tomorrow afternoon at 1 and they wil ltell me whether the results of the bw is back...then go
-
Was busy with the kids all day. SUmmer. Heading to Cape tomorrow with 4 teenage boys. God help me!
Great news Sheila!! Maybe it was Sam.
I hear you Chris about the dinner thing. We always have tons of left overs and no one wants them.
Hope you are doing okay Sandy. Hows the waterbed??
Wheres Diane? Raj? Foots? Meece? Peepers??
-
Linda...you have a point Sam & barley & fiber

4 boys. Are they well behaved? Well you know what I mean

-
Time for my corn.
-
Ha ha - guess I'd better add Sam to my diet. That didn't sound right - lol. I don't really like beer, but last Friday I went to a party and wanted another drink - I didn't want to bother my friend and there were some beers on the table, so I took one. Reminded me of college - lol.
Hope the boys behave for you, Linda. You are a great mom - I hope they realize it!
-
Well behaved boys??? You can tell you had girls, Sheila!! LOL. Thanks Chris and no, they don't like me much.
I don't like beer either, at all. Just hate it. Did I mention I like Margaritas?
-
Linda...Because i didnt have a car someone else drove them all the time. While most of the time they all spent their time in this tiny little house.

Linda i never heard of saying you didnt like Margaritas hahahahahahahahahaha
I only like Sam & Heneiken .
You just reminded me didnt have one for days now.
Corn was good then I just had some jello.
-
Diane is here - just getting ready for court stuff on Monday.
I really hate beer. In general, I don't like brown alcohol.
I'd give anything to go to the Cape again! Someday.
Sheila - where did you look for swimsuits?
-
Hi Diane....I didnt go to the right place just Target and TJ Max I tried tops not swimsuits.
I really need to go Macy's, Sears or Walmart and I wasnt in a mood for a long bus ride.
I cant worry anymore i think i will buy what I need when I get there.
Good Luck Monday. Do you have any idea where you will be staying during these months?
-

Private Island in Fiji
Good Night
-
I haven't yet looked for a temporary home. Finding one that will also take our dog could be difficult. Finding one that will accept a 3-4 month agreement, also difficult. Maybe I could make an awesome longterm deal at the Westin where they come walk your dog on demand? Ya, right. I think I would die if I had to stay at one of those long term motels for that long. I will start looking after the results next week. If there are not results next week we have trial in November.
My FIL called this morning at 6 a.m. 9 for him. He forgot. He decided he would like to come back again. So I booked him to arrive in late August for a month. He insisted on leaving before the "ridiculous" idea of boys at a shower....
Sheila - go to Macy's.
-
Good luck with the court stuff, Diane. I hate contractors - shoddy work, unscrupulous... We still have rooms we haven't repainted since the original coat of paint because whoever did the drywall did such a bad job, it needs to be fixed before we can paint. Not-so DH has started trying to fix it in several places and never finished and I haven't gotten him to agree we should hire someone who knows the tricks of the trade to fix it - so it goes unfixed and unpainted and I can't stand it. Not that whoever we hired would do a better job...
Hope you can find a nice place to stay.
Oh Linda - I'm sure they love you - they just don't want to show it. Have fun at the Cape and I hope they behave.
-
Raj? Foots?
LInda you are so right, they don't like me or want to be around me, waterbed is still leaking have towels in it, but it isn't leaking through the liner, which I am grateful for, need to find the leak, just have to figure out how....have fun with the boys...
Seyla, ah take are ride to Macy's have been there in a while, but I know it is still there, lol
Diane, good luck with the court on monday, thoughts will be with you. Me don't like co-ed showers but it is "fad" now, and apparently I am old school, lol
Almost friday and that means my 7 days off from this stupid meds, what are you guys doing over the weekend?
