So earnestly, too! She has DH trained to sit down in the chair when she wants a lap. I am a harder case!

I think the Mods are well aware of what's happening at the "review" site - and who is doing it. This kind of vengeful action usually back fires - and shows the anger, frustration, of the attackers. They're being ignored, by most of the people at BC.org - so they've taken another "approach" to destroy what they can't be a part of.
What still surprises me, is how many still post on threads here, under various names. Think the answer is for the Mods to implement, as soon as possible, a way to eliminate sock puppets.
-
Joan, sorry for the delay -- but glad the doc was observant and careful! -- hope the "trial run" has a positive effect on cooperation next week -- anyway, the good vibes will be piling up!
Barbara, sorry about today -- hope tomorrow's better.
((((((Riley)))))) and ((((((Hadley))))))
Dinner tonight? Something at my desk at work -- better go get whatever it's gonna be -- pizza, I suppose.
Love to all!

The Mods posted a new rule yesterday regarding the use of multiple names. They also said they have a way to identify one person with multiple accounts.
-
Riley, you are good people. BTW, "PTO" stands for "power take-off". Everybody ought to have one -- right, Bren?
Aw, Joan... it's bad enough when we get all set for an appointment or procedure and then it gets postponed. But, maybe it will work out better this way. Maybe he won't be quite as anxious on the 2nd try. I hope he gets over whatever bug he's caught and feels better soon.
Mr. otter is getting the generator going so we can power up the DVD player and the TV and watch that Netflix movie tonight. Dinner was (hold on while I find the foil packets...) chicken pesto pasta, with wheat snack bread & cheese spread. Dessert was either cherry blueberry cobbler or a cinnamon scone -- they were both in the package, and, since I didn't know which one was supposed to be the snack and which was the dessert, I ate them both. I guess our military personnel must get a lot more exercise than I do, 'cause I would get FAT if I ate like that for every meal. Pretty good stuff!
Barbara, your dinner is missing some solid elements. I don't know what happened, but I'm sending otter-hugs to you regardless because it's obvious that you need some. ((((Barbara))))

good to know
where are the "rules" posted???

Otter .. you crack me up! If I had a PTO I know my dreams would have come true! Cause I dream in green.
hugs,

I just sent the mods a copy of one of the comments on that review site where they actually name Judith. I'm shaking my head in disbelief that people could be so venemous.

--> Community Rules
... or, scroll to the top of this page and click on the "Community Rules" link in the right-hand corner. Whoa. Our electricity just came back on!

Look in the "Moderator Messages" forum. It's not part of the "Community Rules" page yet.
-
E, they already got it in the Community Rules link too, Rule #8
-
Good rule. Means if I get unfairly banned I will have to shut it.

Oh well. At least sock puppets will be putatively banned. Note the qualifyer. Thank you mods - you are moving in the right direction. Riley, have you heard anything from Hadley - did she have her surgery today?
Sending Barbara another hug.

DInner tonight: pasta with eggplant, mint, tomatos (from the garden!), asiago cheese and lots of pepper. Also half a canteloupe and a bowl of chocolate ice cream with, what the heck, sambuca poured generously on top. (Because alchohol doesn't count if you're eating it with a spoon.)
Barbara, sorry for the rough day. Are you still vertical after that last scotch?
Riley, what a great and generous thing to do. I'm with White Rabbit: I wish more employers had policies in place to allow donations of time off. (It's something a lot of unions have bargained for, especially in the public sector, but it's still not very common.)

Yeah for electricity! I was just going to post that since you got the generator up and running the power would probably come back. Whatever it takes ... and it was off long enough to get you out of having to cook

The thread "New Rule Added to Community Rules" in the "Moderator Messages" forum has more information and details for those who currently have more than one account.
-
Thanks, R_R! I missed it entirely.
-
The new rule looks great, as does the phase-in period. It does explain a lot of the activity at the review site today, though.
L -
HL,
I was JUST thinking the same thing. I am SURE that BC.org will have that review site "cleaned."
And I think the rule will REALLY help at BC.org. A lot more work for them in the next few weeks, but they're really trying to keep this the place it's mean to be. THANKS, MODS!
GREAT new rule - hoping I can go back to being Sunflowers
Which I was when I joined, and then my computer crashed - and I couldn't remember my password. So signed on as Caerus ( one of my favorite myths/goddesses - and realized I could ADD Sunflowers - but, as there's still another account, possibly in my OWN Name, Sunflowers - hoping to go back to that.Have always loved Sunflowers.
-
I am truly sorry that BCO is getting trashed on the review site. When someone copies and paste the same post throughout the site for each comment that was made.......makes you wonder.
I would hope that the mods could tell who is posting what over there although they are using different screen names as though to be anonymous.

duplicate above..

well.. you'll have to paste this into your browser.. i can't link it like I USUALLY can.

Ok, I came back into town and had to read 4 pages. I can't remember who got their teeth pulled.
As far as dry sockets go......one of the easiest things to do to correct the problem UNTIL you get to your dentist is to take a black tea bag - seep it in water for 2 minutes and then set aside to cool down. Once it gets to room temperature - put the tea bag where the dry socket is and just lightly clamp your teeth down to keep it in place without putting a hole in the bag. This also works when you can't stop the bleeding. Keep it in place for 10 min at a time and then do another one. The pain should subside.
-
Apple, I can't get that link to work.
(As for the negative reviews - I was distressed by them at first, but at this point I think they speak for themselves. And not well.)
L
-
apple, that link doesn't work for me...
-
you'll have to paste it into your browser.. it's the thank you thread.. down near the bottom of the forum.
-
Sunflowers ... you can probably just send the mods a PM and they can help you do just that. You might want to catch them quickly before they get all busy with the multiple accounts stuff.
-
lewing - you are so right. This is why I asked the mods to not delete a post that was attacking me because in reality - people could see who that person really was by what was written. Sometimes not saying a word gets more attention.
-
Awesome - thanks, Apple.
L
-
Apple .. I had no trouble getting there with your link.
