Scotch. I am in a very bad mood. Gonna have another. So there.
-
((( Barbara ))) I'm sorry you're in a bad mood. Sending big hugs. Do I need to get out my baseball bat?!?
Bren
-
LOL Barbara!
-
Riley,
I haven't "met" you yet, but I searched your name & Hadley's to figure out what was happening - and PTO, and I'm still in AWE of how wonderful women on these boards can be - and I sure wish someone would SCREAM (yup, all caps) this to those folks making up "reviews" for bc.org.
THANK YOU ALL FOR BEING A PART OF THIS WONDERFUL WORLD. ISY, YSN - and it's getting cooler in the northeast after the boomers...

Morning Girls

Go and look at that Review site - it's gone feral. Comments bagging BCO all over the place. They also mention a lot of us by our screen names on here - it there a law against that? Blue,Athena,Me and some others. Why on earth would they allow comments on a person's review?
Sue
-
CS, those reviewes are very sad to read but it's quite obvious what's going on.
-
(((((Barbara))))). I dunno what I'm having. Planned to have some Japanese food at lunch and then some fruit for dinner, but plan was foiled by the boss who called a meeting at lunchtime. Boo, hiss! So lunch was a whole wheat pita and the rest of a tub of hummus. Now I have to find something for dinner. Maybe leftover fried chicken? Or a Lean Cuisine? Athena, the sour cream & onion chips sound good!
L -
Sad. It hurts no one but BCO itself. As for the rest, who cares, really?
-
Oh take screen shots. That can be pursued. The webmistress would have to cooperate regarding ip addresses and computer id's. I can't be bothered, but it does say more about the writers than about the people they mention.
-
Athena, I think all they need are 10 good reviews. It is a well known fact that people who are satisfied usually don't take the time to write a review.
-
Thanks pals. On to (gasp) number 3. Tomorrow will be better.
-
I actually wrote to that site and warned them and complained that they were using our screen names from here. I bet BCO wouldn't be pleased - talk about feral!!!
-
(((Barbara))) Throw some nitrous in the mix and you'll feel a lot better!
-
I was really shocked by what I read at the Review site today. What a shame to see so much vengefullness directed at BCO. And the same negative comments are on almost every single review. Apparently, there is no moderation at the Review site. What a sad state of affairs. I hate to see BCO so terribly wronged. It's just not right.
Bren
-
Especially since the mods are working so hard and have implemented some positive changes.
-
Barbara, here's to you - holding up wine glass. Glad to see that the BCO B&G is open.
-
Ladies....I just made my review and it was positive! I love BCO and am so thankful I found it right after I was diagnosed. I think it is terrible the way it is be portrayed. I have gotten so much information and support from here.
-
hillck - sounds healthy enough to me. Did you see what I had? Lol.
Oh, and I didn't mention the dessert - Hershey's cookies 'n creme candy bar!
-
I might write to the mods tonight to let them know what's going on over there - can't do it now as I don't have the link at work.
One review that had given 5 stars had a comment added about how the threads were going crazy here yesterday. It seems they are adding comments to the reviews that are good trying to disprove them.

(((Barbara)))
(((Riley)))
-
Riley,
Bless you and your generous gift to Hadley. (I had to look up "PTO" as I wasn't sure what it meant.)
(((Riley)))
-
Chips AND a hamburger AND a baked sweet potato (so that makes it healthy, right?)
ETA: And lots of M&M chocolate ice cream
-
Four slices of bread. And Gatorade.
-
Patty, it is a good thing that you gave a positive review. I looked and there is some strange stuff going on over there. Feral is a good word, C-S. Obsessive describes it, too. I really hate to think of some woman scared blind by a cancer diagnosis being scared away from this wonderful, supportive site by a bunch of women with personal vendettas against members here. Consciencelesss.
L -
PattyS, Hi. I just visited the review site and I'm glad you posted a favorable review. I can't believe that one poster posted the same strange comment on every review.
Riley, I just read what you did and I'm speechless - what a wonderful heart you have!
Dinner here was gluten free pizza with tons of peppers and onions and a little bit of ham on top.
I had my stress test today (chemical kind) and didn't have any pain or strange symptoms during the procedure so I expect to get good news on that. So maybe the combination of heat and asthma has just been kicking my butt.
-
This shows how good always triumphs over evil. Riley's deed speaks louder than efforts to undermine BCO.
-
Leftover store-bought fried chicken breast and a glass of milk, consumed while fighting off a cat who kept insisting her father FORGOT to feed her. Now I am staring at a package of Keebler Coconut dreams cookies, which are Keeble's version of Samoas. I am waiting for them to start jumping out of the package into my mouth. I may have to help them. I still have half a glass of milk left, and it needs company.
R_R, I'm set up for a stress test (the treadmill kind) next week as part of my pre-surgery workup. I'll be thinking about you when I do it ... I sure hope you will have good results by then!
L -
*embarrassed* Hadley and I and another poster named Cindy met and had lunch. Hadley is good people, too; such a sweetie and we hit it off immediately. If we didn't work at the same organization (but different hospitals), I wouldn't have been able to donate time to her, so it was a bit of serendipity that she got that job here! It just felt meant to be, ya know?
And then I promptly trashed all that good karma by having a large Quizno's sub (ham, cheese and bacon - my only nod to healthy eating was the artisan wheat bread, and that was only because it's SO good!) and a large Pepsi. And I may have ice cream before the day is done!
-
HL, you just painted a picture that has me giggling.
Good luck with your stress test. I had one of the treadmill ones a couple of years ago and it was ok to do. I just opted for the chemical kind this time because I've been so tight-chested and short of breath.
