Dr. David Servan-Schreiber
I hope it is okay to post this here...mods, please feel free to move it if not.
Sadly, Dr. Servan-Schreiber lost his battle with brain cancer after 20 years from his initial diagnosis. He is a true inspiration, and a testament to the power of an integrative approach when fighting this beast.
So sad .

aw jeez.. I am so sad. I felt like I knew him - his book (anticancer - a new way of life) is just wonderful. That photo of him is so sad.. looks like he had tears in his eyes.. so handsome..
-
So sad....
I like his quote:
"Death is part of life. It happens to everyone. Profit from now, do the important things."
-
:"and I am playing keyboard on that tumor.". waaaaaa

I can't believe he's dead. I loved his book and have made major changes in my diet as a result. So sad...
-
He fought a valiant fight and helped me.
-
so sad...his book helped me get through my diagnosis
-
His book has helped me in many ways. It is so sad that he has lost his fight of 20 years.
-
This news is very upsetting to me. I found his book to be very inspiring. So sad.
-
so sad I am reading his book right now.
-
This news takes my breath away. His show and his book changed my life. He obviously impacted many of us who battle cancer. Too sad.
-
I'm so, so sad and upset by this. He's been my roll model and something to hang on to through out this dx.

can't believe it. shit. his book is amazing - the only one i read through active treatment. i admired his approach to life and cancer treatment.
-
Still my hero...May his wonderful soul rest in peace.
-
I am very sad to hear this news. I found his book empowering. I have made many lifestyle changes due to it and have purchased this book for several people that I know that are battling this disease. It really knocked the wind out of my sail to hear he is gone. I am very grateful to him.
-
I am still very upset as well. Yes, he went 20 years with this most aggressive tumor (that could have killed him in a matter of months). He's been living proof of the value of integrative oncology.
-
Bought his book a few months ago, and just picked it up again last night. How weird to just read this. What a shame.
-
He was a beacon of hope. So sad to hear he's gone.
-
RIP... His "Anticancer" book used to be our guide...
-
Wow, I've been on vacation and didn't know. I loved his book - first one I read after dx.
