THANK YOU
I just wanted to give a big THANK YOU to BCO. This site has helped me tremendously over the last several years. It has given me the support I've needed, suggestions and information about this disease that I didn't know. Thanks to this site, I feel more educated and able to understand what my onc is saying when we discuss surgeries, chemo, radiation, etc...... It has given me a safe place to ramble, vent, rant and ask questions and I feel that I've made many cyber friends along the way.
Thank you, Jenn

Thank YOU for your kind and positive feedback!!

this is a short thread and should be the longest.
-
Yes, thank you Mods! I've been really impressed with the improvements in moderation and the new rules.
-
apple is right!
This board has been a lifeline and sanity saver for countless women. We have gotten our fears calmed, our questions answered and made great friends along the way. Being able to talk to others who are going through ... or have gone through ... the same things is priceless.
We are all quick to complain and then we fail to say thanks. The full time moderation and the review and control of the report this post function has been a huge improvement. I also noticed that the rules have been revised to be a lot more specific.
So thanks!!!
-
I agree with Apple .. this should be the longest thread on this site!
I have always loved BCO and I'm forever grateful for the information, support and friends I've made over the years.
I don't think I could have gotten through my diagnosis, treatment and moving on without the support of this site.
Well done BCO!
hugs,
Bren

I just saw the new rule re: only ONE account/ID per person is allowed!!! WOOOHOOOOO! I'm so hopeful that this will help to make things easier and more peaceful for all of us!
THANKS SO MUCH, MODS, FOR YOUR CONTINUED HARD WORK!!!!

I really don't know what my life would be like without this site. It's my lifeline in the stage IV cancer world and where I get most of my support. It's a dark and scary world with brain mets and this site helps give me light....I don't pay attention to any of the other stuff that seems to go on here...I'm just here for the love and support :>

I have learned so much from this site, especially the forum! Having IBC, I have learned a lot.
I learned about LE which I learned I had shortly have finding this forum.
I learned about the DIEP which I knew nothing about before here & I will have bi-lateral DIEP on Aug 15!
Thanks for puttin up with all of us! NJ

Reading about the experiences of so many women on BC.org really helped me pose meaningful questions to my doctors about my own treatment. While I hear what the doctors' have to say, I feel more secure if their information is backed up by the individual stories I have read here. Thanks for creating a website that connects and supports so many.

Add my THANKS!!!!

Thank you!

Thank you so much.

Thank you... found this site when I was hitting bottom after all the treatments were over. I started looking for information to deal with the depression, sx, etc... found this site... found friends here that I have coffee with every other week... became a part of a regional support group formed on here. Telling my story over and over helps to release a thousand hurts.

Thank you, don't know how I would have made it this far without the wonderful people I have met through this site, not to mention all the wonderfully helpful information.
-
Adding my thanks. BCO was literally a life saver when I was first diagnosed; and now it is a place where I can get and give advice, encouragement, and even have a little fun (humor threads). I have met wonderful friends here. People I would have never known otherwise. People on the same journey, who really 'get it'.

Well said, ruthbru! We are so lucky to have BCO! I often think of how isolated women with breast cancer must have felt before the Internet, and it makes me so sad for them. But SO grateful for BCO! Thank you for keeping me connected to others who not only understand but also have such wonderful advice and information.
-
BCO has been a lifesaver! I had no desire to join a support group as I'm a fairly private person now living in a rather small community. I found this site just as I was finishing chemo and trying to find ways to deal with hair loss, neuropathy, bad nails etc. So many helpful suggestions that seemed to work for others here pulled me through, And then I started making friends! In fact, about 2 dozen BC sisters are coming to my home next month, from Canada and the U.S. We're also using the occasion to say our goodbyes to our beloved late BC sister Konakat. It will be a special moment for us.
Thanks BCO. You've helped so MANY, in so many ways! And thank you for continuing to make this site better for us.

I think it would be nice if we all went and said what we have said on this thread over here. Unfortunately, BCO is taking a beating because some don't like the people that post on one of the threads I started.
-
I'm so happy to see all these wonderful responses on this thread!

BCO is an organization that has worked very hard to be a haven for women and men looking for BC-related support and information. I am very thankful for that, and for having the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people here. The moderators continue to work hard to implement reforms and things have improved, so kudos to them, too.
-
This is where I learned about the Johns Hopkins breast cancer vaccine trial. I start it in August and wouldn't have known about it without BCO. Thank you.
-
Thank you to BCO (the organization and the wonderful women who gather in this virtual space) for being such a great source of advice and support. I've learned a lot here, laughed a lot here, made amazing friends here, and found comfort in grief here.

I have to say that I have learned so much on this site since my dx. But the main thing I've gained is the friendship of so many.
I am able to talk about my treatment options and progress, vent my frustrations about pain and SEs, and relieve my fear and sadness with others in the same situation as me.
But I'm also able to joke around and forget about my cancer even if for just a little while in the friendship threads.
I hope I am able to help others just a fraction of how much everyone has helped me. -
Have to add my thanks also. When I was first diagnosed my BS sent me here to learn and read so that I could come back well informed to talk about my options. It has been a life line for me in the beginning with all of the information, guidelines as well as reading about personal experiences from the discussion boards. I had the pleasure of having a consult with Dr. Weiss during my early dx days and thanked her personally for this site, now would like to extend that thanks to all of the staff at BCO. What a fabulous job and service you have provided for all of us. Thanks so very much

I don't know what I would have done since I've had bc if I didn't have BCO. I get information, support, and friendship. I also have the opportunity to live my life without constantly talking about bc since I can talk about it here.
To the mods: thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou.

I add my thanks for this site and my deep gratitude and admiration for the many women who have so generously shared their stories, their experiences, their emotions and their friendship with me and so many others. I am not a "joiner" and would never have been able to join a support group IRL. Hee, I can ask questions and find answers and learn new questions I never thought to ask. And now that I have a recurrence, the support and love I find here buoys me up to get through the next stage of treatment.
Thank you, Mods, for wading in and beefing up moderation. Life has improved tremendously here of late, and I expect it will get even better with the application of the new rule on nicks.
Thank you, all, for being here. It is so good to be among sistahs who jut "get it."

Thank you. Special thanks to all the women who've helped me stay on the A ( Arimidex) Team! I couldn't have made it without you. Please follow the link in Blue's post.
eta: maybe we could send this thread, in a while, to that site too!!!! Anybody techy who would know how to do it?
-
I was so happy to see this thread!
I'd like to join my BCO sisters in thanking everyone associated with Breastcancer.org. What you've provided for us here, free of charge, is truly priceless. The value of the educational sections of the website is obvious. I needed more than that. I'm like others here who did not have a local support group, or at least did not have one that was convenient. The BCO discussion boards are better than a support group anyway, for all the reasons mentioned in the posts here.
I have special admiration for the discussion board moderators, who have shown tremendous patience and understanding in their handling of some of the issues encountered here. Many thanks to you!

we ought to let it get a little bigger. I think you can just copy/paste the address in a comment box.
