Lilah, I was 49 at DX, too. Onc was sure it wouldn't come back. And it didn't for 20 months. I was pissed when I started again! I even had to go out and buy "products" Thought I was done spending money on that crap. Should get my BX results tomorrow. The waiting sucks. And as our gal Titan would say........CANCER SUCKS.

Well for me it will be two years in August since it stopped... so I think I really am done. Donna I didn't realize you were so young! Navy -- my sympathies

Navy - Hang in there. Sending good vibes your way for good results!

Thanks everybody. Feeling a bit edgy tonight.
Worrying about a very close, lifelong girlfriend who had a breast BX yesterday. I have had other acquaintances that have been DX with BCafter I was, but this time things feel different. This girlfriend is a dear friend and I am terrified for her.....I am praying with all my might that she will be B9.

I will add my prayers to yours Navy.

Thanks, gals. Still waiting for my friend.....Had to give her the ole talk about the squeeky wheel getting the grease. Especially with this being a Friday.....No need to go all weekend in knots. Knowledge is power. Make the call and find out. When I hear something I'll be sure to post.
Appreciate all your support and prayers

So glad it's benign, Navymom!

Navy Mom, so happy to hear B9. Thoughts going out to your friend. Jenn hope things are getting better for you.
As far as mom we were suppose to see the onco yesterday but her appt got cancled due to a family emergency so now its set for next friday. With all that is going on in her life I have seen it take its toll on her the last few weeks. The heat isnt helping either. Its been 108 degrees with feel like temps of 115. UGH.. As far as her lawyer I called to get any updates and he is in the hospital. So more waiting. Guess we should be getting use to waiting. Hope you all have a relaxing weekend.

Here is a picture of my mom and I. Its about a year old. We were out at a local restaurant, one of her favorite places. Len n joes. We look a little strange because my daughter told us to close our eyes and when she said to open the flash went off and we were both like a deer in head lights. LOL
Penny
-
Penny-I like the picture! So sorry you have delays, again.
Hey Jenn--how are you doing?
Waving hello to everyone!
Navy.

Wow! I feel like I've missed so much. I decided to stay off of the computer while on vacation. I jumped on Facebook once to make a big announcement................DD#1 got engaged while we were on vacation. I am so happy for both of them.
Navy - so sorry I wasn't here to give you support, but am very glad to hear that you're in the clear.
Patty - what about you? I am worried.
Donna - How is it going down in Florida? I vacationed in Perdido Key, which I love because it isn't as crowded as some of the other "hot spots" along the coast.
Loveshermother - I know the picture is small, but am I right in that you and your mom look alike or have similar features? I love the picture and thanks for sharing.
Weety - CONGRATS!!!!! on your 2 year mark.
While we were on vacation we saw Harry Potter. Did anyone go see Harry Potter? I also started the book "The Island", which is a nice easy relaxing read. Has anyone read it? I usually read murder mysteries and plow through them to find out who, what and why.
Hope all is well - Jenn
-
Hi jenn,
My sister and mother look like twins, but yes we do have very similar features. I'm glad you had a nice vacation. We leave for the jersey shore here in aug. I cant wait. I pray the weather is still nice and no hurricanes. It never fails we usually get one, we usually just get the big waves and rain.
Hope everyone is enjoying thier weekend.

Jenn -- congrats on your daughter's engagement!!! Wahooo!!!! I forgot you were on vacation (or maybe you didn't post that?) Anyway hope you had a lovely time! I saw Harry Potter (the final installment) -- it brought a tear to my eye (and to my boyfriend's eye and his cousin's, who went with us). Really enjoyed it.
Don't know that book but I will add it to my list. Currently reading and enjoying The White Tiger -- about an Indian "entrepreneur"... very engrossing! I'm actually listening to it (which is even better).
-
Congrats on your daughter's engagement. How exciting! Glad your vacation was good.

YAY!!!! My firends BX was B9 YAY!!!!!
Navy

Yea! So happy to hear this great news Navy! Shame on them for making her wait over the weekend!
-
Great news Navy! And I agree with Donna -- very mean of them to make her wait all weekend.
-
Good news all around! Congrats to your DD, Jenn. Is the wedding date set?
Hooray for B9 results for your friend Navy!
Patty

Congrats Jenn - how exciting!!
Hi to everyone - back from our family trip to England, so lots to catch up on. (Including sleep
)
-
Gill - Can't wait to hear about your trip...........
Thank you everyone for your good wishes!!! We are very excited. Tonight we are "meeting the parents". My DD sent me a text yesterday evening saying that her fiance's parents are coming into town and do we want to get together. Of course we do!!! I'm sure we'll all get along well and am looking forward to meeting the parents of our future son in-law.
Hope all is well with everyone.
-
Gill - Welcome back! Tell us about your trip after you've rested up.
Jenn- How did "meet the parents" go?
Patty
-
Good morning-- hope everyone is getting through this heat wave! Jenn How did it go with meeting the in laws to be?
Tomorrow mom goes to get her endoscopy to see what is in her throat. Prayers that its just a hinal hernia (sorry for the spelling). Then we finally get to see her onco on friday that was rescheduled from 2 weeks ago. She has been having a hard time breathing lately with a strange cough. I'm hoping its just all this heat that is doing it to her. No word from the lawyer yet and I have called 2X's to see what is going on. UGH. I cant wait to leave for the beach in 2 weeks, but I hate leaving my mom alone for such a long time. Oh the trials of life sometimes. Well hope everyones week is going with out a hitch.
Have a great day
Penny

Penny - What are the results of the endosopy?
The dinner was wonderful and we love our future SIL's parents. They are a lot like us, except a little older (as old as my mom). Very, very sweet, open, easy to talk to and love our daughter it seems as much as we love their son. It looks like the wedding will be next summer. The happy couple would like to do a cruise wedding and are in the process of finding a cruise leaving New Orleans to locations that they haven't already been to.
How is everyone?
Jenn

Wahoo Jenn that is wonderful!
Ladies a quick hello... been busy with some work stuff and travelling the last three weekends (too much)! Family events mostly... hope you are feeling good Jenn. Penny -- keep us posted about your mom.
Gill -- welcome back!

Hi ladies,
well mom had her endoscopy today and they did take a biospy of something. I never got a chance to talk to the dr. about it, apparently he had a assembly line of patients today. The only thing the nurse said to me was that the procedure went well. I have to admit I was some what upset. I took mom home and went back to work. I went over to see her later in the evening and she is exhusted. I really didnt expect her to be so out of it. I asked her if she felt sick or anything she just said wore out. She thinks its more emotional than physical. She was/is very concerned about the procedure. She is glad it was over. The dr. is on vacation all next so I hope we dont have to wait till he comes back. I leave for the beach 8/13 and hope to have the results before then. Tomorrow she has a follow up with onco, so we will see what happens there.
I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying their summer. I will post results when we get them.
Thank you everyone for your concern. It helps to come here and get some things out. I dont say much to my family, I feel its better to have current news rather than what if's.
