LMAO....I checked out the review site too and had the same question about the date of the nasty reviews being posted. I couldn't help my self, I added my two cents worth...what a freak. Really. Effn freak. Wink

Watching my favorite Friday night show..Whale Wars...and wishing I had a bloody mary! They seem to go down so easy on a warm summers eve!

BTW Barbara...I'm not in the hammock today! I'd be afraid of melting into it...but once it cools off, I'll be doing my medicinal visits again :)

I was gone all day cleaning my trainer's house and then came home and pulled weeds in my flower bed.  DH came home shortly thereafter and we are watching the Tour De France together.  I am not a big fan but I want to spend time with my dh as he has been working long hours.

I will check back in later after he has fallen asleep Laughing

Ghastly, horrendous news out of Norway -- 7 dead in a bomb blast (and countless people injured) in Oslo, and 80 children shot and killed at a camp outside the city.  One young man in custody -- apparently a far-rightwinger or neo-nazi.  Police are looking for his accomplice.

I know we have a few Norwegian posters at BCO.  Hoping you and your families are all safe, and sending you cyberhugs.

Just a lurker, but it looks like the dryer has spit out another sock on one of the numerous threads. Sheesh, how much is it going to take for this to be taken more seriously?

To be on topic, it is hot as hades here in the northeast, and I had stir fry for dinner, lol. No drinks for me, I'm on Xeloda, so everyone please have a crisp glass of Chardonnay on me!

Ok girls - it's official - I'm extremely unfit. I had been waiting until just before we left on our holiday to do the cleaning. The floors looked so dirty I gave in. Well, I only vacuumed downstairs (6 rooms) and washed our bathroom floor and I can hardly move. Those damm Miele vacuums suck so bloody hard - it makes it a tough job. Maybe DH will do upstairs for me - I doubt it though.

Dinner tonight are my beef frajita pizzas. Don't know if I've described them for you before but they are fantastic. I use strips of rump steak pan fried. Tiny indivdual pizza bases with pizza sauce, sliced onion and sliced green pepper arranged on the base. Add the pan fried strips of steak on top. Then add jalapenos - about 3 or 4. Top it off with pizza cheese and cook. Then I serve them with my guacamole and sour cream. They good thing is we always have a few left over for lunch the next day.

Hey, I know you are all suffering in the heat - who wants to come and house sit while we're gone. I think it's 22 or 23 Celcius today - our best winter weather. There are some cold nights coming up though - down to 6.

There is a new poster on a certain thread.  Feeling blue.  I wonder if someone is manic/depressive and about to enter a new phase.

Susieq58 - I am the queen of finding ways to make housecleaning easier yet get it really clean as I am OCD about cleaning - only in the sense that once I start cleaning a room it has to be perfect.  Motivation is a factor for me to even start.

My dh bought a purple Dyson - the thing only weighs about 6 lbs.  I was upset that he would spend almost $500 for a vacuum cleaner when my stepkids have broken 3 of them in the past by being lazy.

However, it was the best investment ever.  Not only does it pick up everything - it is easy for me to take up and down the stairs - easy to manuever, etc.

The other great tool I have is a Shark steam mop.  Not the one that is a vacuum and steam mop combination - just the steam pocket mop.  My floors are so clean that you can eat off of them with hardly any physical effort at all.  I used to hate mopping floors, it would kill my back and my shoulders but not with the Shark mop.

I clean 2 houses a week (excluding mine) and I take my steam mop with me everywhere I go because I refuse to use a regular mop and bucket now that I have discovered a much easier and cleaner way to get my floors done.

In any case, thought you might like to know this.

Jancie - can you come and clean my house :) At one stage, I was actually sitting down vacuuming the rug in our tv room, I got so tired. I do love my Miele because it sucks so hard. It does follow me around without much trouble. Our house is really big, so it is best to do one level at a time. At least it's cool enough here. I would hate it even more if it was hot.

Now I'm rested, I might go and start prepping the dinner. It's better if I get the meat ready ahead of time.

Thanks for the welcome girls! Blue, DH was in awe of the wee scot. What a charmer.

Left my opinion on the rating site.

Had bok choi, shrimp, fresh zucchini, (thank goodness for epicurious, would have never known how to combine these without it) for din; DH said it was 4 star.

Clean house? Can't seem to get enough energy to even plan on cleaning, let alone try to get started. I've begun to accept there are limitations for energy expenditures.

Is it my imagination, or do the sock monkeys seem to be a monthly addition? I may be hallucinating, been known to happen, but I am seeing additions for March, April, May, and July. Don't have incentive or gumption (old fashioned word for energy or interest) to search for June.

Should go to bed, but on a movie marathon tonight and am totally enjoying the quiet.

I'm with you scuttlers - I'm not a huge fan of cleaning. It's harder now I'm back at work full time. I also did 4 loads of washing today and the weekly groceries.

Pizzas ready to go in the oven!! I reckon a nice bottle of NZ Sav Blanc will go nicely.

Off to fold last weeks washing while I wait for DH to return from golf.

'Morning everyone. Nice and cool in my nest. Sadly, I have to leave it at some point for work, which means stifling heat while I walk.Might take a taxi.

Tomorrow, things should start heading slowly in the right direction (speaking of the weather).

It's been too hot to go to my club, and I have been without real exercise for almost a week.

Just a heads up girls. I was looking at a site that has some posters from here on it. They are thanking Athena (yes you were named) for putting the review site link up and planning to go and post reviews on there. I guessed that's why there was flurry of bad reviews. Do you feel like you are being stalked?

Seems the women who post here were not sufficiently offended by being called "homies" or "libturds" or "gangsters" - may have even had the audacity ( of hope) to laugh it off, do take off's of them, and get ready for the WORST offense, be respectful to fellow posters, and Horror of All Horrors, Respect the President of the United States.

Then, there is the responsiblity some women feel to share what has been successful in their own treatment with others.  To do what the Moderators call "monitoring" and strangely some call "bullying." When a woman posts as "FACT" - what is in fact, "opinion" and that distinction is made public, it is called "censoring."

I'm sure there are other reason's - but they're too sad to even imagine. To attack a valuable source of information for women who have breast cancer, because of some kind of personal vendetta, just sad, sad, sad.

I have to get dressed and go to the Farmer's Market. I promised DH farm fresh eggs.

I do talk to myself but never had an imaginary friend. I did like messing aorund with sock puppets when I was a kid. No veilled reference. With apologies to Freud. Sometimes a sock puppet is just a toy.
