WR,
not toooooooooo obvious or anything - let's delete ALL threads except the "Christian" ones. Now, who do I think might want that to happen??? Hmmmnnn....let me think

-
Athena, I hold my own and then some. I am the one bobbing and weaving, passing on the right to get by the blue hairs in the left lane doing 50. But coming home today was too rainy to do safely so I gritted my teeth and drove rationally. Until the rain stopped then business as usual. Heck I got my training on the Beltway!
-
I will take the Beltway over I-75 any day!
ETA: Is the BCO B&G open? I have nothing to drink, there is a little alcohol store half a block from there and it is still too hot to go outside. Will wait until the second call.
-
Barbara, It was a nasty storm wasn't it. My DH got caught in it on I-75 today as well. Glad you got home ok. I would have loved meeting up though.
-
Barbara .. glad you are home safe and sound .. good to know you can get around! Especially since we'll be in an SUV!
Athena .. that link was too much. Some of those comments were really out there. If those people don't like the discussion boards why are they reading them? Makes no sense to me.
Bren

It seems like they want the discussion boards to disappear - gee I wonder who would want that?
Do you ever get the feeling that some people want this site to be more like their own site? Not that they have a site, just that they want it set up exactly how they'd like it if they had a site.
-
I couldn't bring myself to go to the link. I need my blood pressure to calm down. The BCO B&G is open for me and I am nursing (no make that slugging) my lovely Dewars. No wine for me tonight, straight to the big guns.
-
My blood pressure's been running low. I thought maybe something like that would get it up. 99/62 didn't do much.
-
Didn't do a thing for me either. Reminds me of Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde, or is it the other way around?
-
Thanks for the warm welcome girls, I'm back to take a raincheck on the drink offer
Sorry girls, it was just too hot to keep the computer on my lap last night -and tonight isn't much better. The outside thermometer still reads 99...at almost 7pm. WTH is wrong with that picture???
I've apparently got some reading to do..you ladies chat up a storm in the span of 24 hours

Blue...I agree, the pic of your grandson is adorable...he's just so yummy! I'd work for the hugs and kisses from that little fella too!
Can't stick around long, my carpel tunnel is killing me today. Maybe a tall, warm glass of urine will cure me
**gag*** -
navygirl - hope you can get the carpel tunnel resolved. Stay cool.
I just endured the feat of going out to get some food. It was actually not as bad as I thought. I can now nurse a wine I have never tasted before. Opening bottle...
Cheers, sisters, oldbies, newbies, lurkers and guests. We are still here, very much not deleted.

hello all! I added my two cents to the review site. By the complaints, one would think there was someone standing behind them with a club making them read things offensive to them. Me, I just LOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEEEEE the ignore button.
It is a VERY VERY sunny day here. . . . .Not a clue about dinner but a lovely lunch out --braised lamb shank sandwich...mmmmmmm
-
Hello, 3monst! Hope those monsters are staying cool.
Wow - that review site is getting contentious (words like "gangstas" and "lioness"). Says everything about the reviewers and less and less about BCO and absolutely nothing about anyone here. If you have low blood pressure, it might be ok to go. If it is high, do not go. I'm over and out on that one.
-
I think a nice cold martini will help a great deal...Cheers girls!
-
Thank you Athena! 2/3 monsters are out on the lake sailing. Soon they will all be out there for Friday night racing. It is sunny and there seems to be some wind. Tomorrow they have a little baby regatta which will take up the morning. They are happy happy monsters.
Me, I sit on the dock and knit. Its going to be sunny again tomorrow which means I can call my dock sitting "medicinal" for the vit D I shall be absorbing and can maybe persuade myself that I am not being lazy for not cleaning the house or working in the garden.
Not a half bad weekend!
-
Forgot to mention along the martini front, we went gin tasting last weekend at a little local distillery. Not half bad! ---I had no idea in my youth that gin came in so very many flavors! My favorite was very cucumber-y.
-
So what is the temperature in Seattle today?
-
ummmm, Athena, do you really want to know the tempature? are you sure?
its uh, its uh, 70 and sunny
quickly ducking under desk to avoid things being tossed at head!!!!
-
LOL!
-
How many more monsters do you have room for mama
we might all be heading your way! -
3monst..I love the way you think! The next time I'm just laying in the hammock I'm going to tell my girl I'm getting my "medicine"

although I'm a bit jealous of the 70 degrees

-
Navy how can you lay in the hammock in Bethesda in 100+ heat? I would be AC bound!
-
as long as you have no objection to the possibility of sleeping on a fold away bed or a futon or the floor or a monster's bed, sure!!!!!!!!
And we now have lots of different flavors of gin! And bubbly water for making gin bubbles! And rhubarb bitters for making. . .well, actually I don't quite know what I am supposed to do with the rhubarb bitters but hey they are made of rhubarb and I like rhubarb so why not?
-
3monst, if you are not careful a planeload of us will descend upon you, and if you think having three monsters is chaotic, wait until you see what happens...
August here is horrendous so the heat waves may keep coming.
-
I'm in Seattle too, with two empty bedrooms-there's no furniture in them though......

3M, Mary, YramAL, DH keeps reading me the forecast for Seattle from the newspaper every day. Then he rolls his eyes toward the little weather station we have on the bookshelf in the family room (which today was reading 95 after a storm we didn't get) and then he looks all hangdog. Be careful -- you might find yourself with an extra monster!
Hah! People saying nasty things about us elsewhere on the worldwide web. Deja vu all over again. Ah well, it only bothers you if you care what they say ... I'm not seeing much bothering or caring here!
Bottoms up, ladies ... I'll have a nice, crisp Orvieto. Ricasoli, if you can find it. It's hard to come by.
Cheers!

We're supposed to have 4 straight days of sun and warmer(relatively so-around 75) temps here. I am so looking forward to it. I am definitely a person that needs to see some sunlight every once in awhile.
I just want to know if I can be part of the "notorious band of bullies" that's led by the lioness. Can I, can I, huh??
Mary

Matching tee shirts, maybe? Or tattoos?
