Mum ~ What a beautiful photo! My son visited prague a couple of years ago and said that the architecture in that city is absolutely beautiful.
Meece ~Will be praying for you! Yay for the great dr visit and wow for the 1 year between onc visits! How awesome!
Linniea ~ Will be prayinfg for that surgery on 7/27, for good clear margins!
Faithroad ~ How are you doing?
-
Thanks for all the prayers for surgery. I Know God will be there with me all the way. I am going to Vermont to see my sister this weekend before Surgery I know I won't be going anywhere after that for a while.
-
I have an ultrasound today of chestwall and lymphnode area.Alittle nervous of course but have a few sore lumps along my ribcage so need to check them out.
Lynniea enjoy your visit.I found surgery recovery not bad at all.
-
Lynniea, you will be up and about a lot quicker than you think. There are no bones, organs or muscles involved (unless you get recon) so it is a very quick recovery. The node area is the only area that will be painful. You might want to be aroud home for the first week to 10-days, that's all.
Mum, you are in my prayers today. Please let us know when you get the results! Of course you're nervous, we all are when we finally get the guts to tell the doc that we have an area of concern. You are being proactive which is a lot better than hiding your head in the sand....
-
Mum ~ Praying!!
Lynniea ~ Enjoy your trip to see your sister! I have never been to vermont, but I hear it is beautiful.
Have a great day everyone!

-
Thank you all for the prayers. God is in control and know everything will be alright.
-
Lynniea, sometimes everything is NOT alright. Just wanted to give you a heads-up sweetie.
-
JO, I also, knew what Lynniea meant, but there is a sister who`s liver mets have increased and it is not alright with her even though she has God on her team. Just a reality check ladies......
-
Went in for an ultrasound. The rad Doctor ordered xrays of my chest and ribcage. He also recomends I have another bone scan. Will have to wait now for my follow up .

-
((((((((((((((((((((((Mum)))))))))))))))))))))) Let's pray that they are jsut being cautious. So far that has been my experience. May that blessing continue.
-
Faith Faith Faith just a little bit of Faith
-
That of a mustard seed.
-
Mum, the waiting for the appointment is always the hardest. I don't fret once the wheels are in motion. How fast you get your appointments will determine their thinking, I always figure. Let us know when the appointments are set.....
Much love, sweetie!
-
Mum ~ Thinking of you and praying! I hate when they don't give definitive answers!
Like Barbe said waiting is hard. ((((((((((((((Mum)))))))))))) -

-
Thinking of you today Mum......much love!

We are picking Matt up from the airport today in 11 hours! He has been gone for 6 years!

When I spoke with Matt yesterday he was a bit down. He saw the cardiologist to get checked out before coming home. The surgery failed. He is now facing and additional catheter surgical procedure or open heart surgery. He is to see a cardiologist in CA (no referals from the military as of yet) within two weeks. Please pray that the red tape and bureaucracy, now that he is leaving active duty, will be minimal.
-
Meece ~ Is that a picture of you and Matt? It is such a sweet photo! I will definitely pray for Matt, for his health and for a smooth transition from active duty... and Yay to his coming home!!
Mum ~ Praying for you and thinking about you!!
-
Meece...Finally the big day arrived. I love the photo so spiritual.
-
How can 6 foot + have been shrunk into so small & sweet a package Meece? beautiful photo!
((((Mum)))) (((Lynniea)))
-
Hi ladies.Good to hear Matt will be closer to home now as he deals with his health issues.(((Meece)))
My DH and I went in to my Onc appt.He laughed when he saw my husband and said you must be really worried. Apparently the ultrasound showed 3 spots of concern on my ribcage so now I have to wait until 26 for another bone scan which they will compare to the one I had 6 months ago.My follow up will not be until Aug.(waiting game)

-
Ah Mum!! Could he give you no more than THAT??? Had anything ever shown up there before on any other scan???? ARRRRRRRRRRRghhhhhhhhhh
Meece, that is a beautiful picture of you and Matt!!!! He is still in my prayers because he hadn't made it home yet....
-
Well, he is home! Thank you all for your traveler's prayers. His flight was nearly 2 hours late which was nerve wracking. Not that I was concerned over his safety, but I was ready to have him home. I don't remember how old Matt was in that photo, I am guessing 3 months. He was a big boy.
A family friend who has navigated the waters of the VA and disabled vetrans, is taking Matt to LA to the VA and VA hospital to get the ball rolling on Monday.
Mum! I am so sorry that you are going to have to wait more time. It can be so stressful. I will pray for your peace as you wait for the next test and the results.
-
Thank God THAT leg of his journey is over and I pray for good luck on his NEW journey!!! Give him a big hug from all his bco aunties. Are you going to actually be able to see him? Like, is he in your home or just on US soil???
