Unfortunately I frequent the very respectful, very caring stage IV forum where women (and men) meet, discuss their triumphs and woes and share love and care. Sometimes someone comes along with challenging issues that are not helped by modern medicine. There are so many knowledgeable people here in this non modern medicine forum, that are drowned out by the noise of a few quackers.. (I kind of see where that name came from..... quacks).
I think to myself - they need to go the the Complementary Forum and see what options might work, since they cannot take any more chemo or suffer from a deficiency that they or their doctors cannot identify... Hopefully they could find information that might help them.. . I don't see how argue-ing, spammy pics and posting links to maple syrup is helpful. This could be the best part of BCO for some people..
I think we are put here on this earth to serve.. to serve what? I don't know. maybe it's ice cream, and maybe it's kindness. Perhaps one can tell I have had a Christian upbringing, but many religions and ways of spirituality put others first. I have many friends with different beliefs but I like to spend time with those who are open minded and sharing.
Helping each other is the most rewarding thing to do. Anyway, it's so crazy here sometimes I hesitate to send a terrified husband, mother or ‘sister' here to wade thru the brush. .... And I need to do that sometimes. sooooooooooo

apple, What a great idea. You are right we all have different beliefs, have had different life experiences, so we all might have something to give to someone in need.

apple, a good thread to check out on the complementary forum is:
Survivors who had chemo etc and are into Complementary medicine

Hi Apple -
Very well said. I do have Stage IV and I've been sickened by the nonsense. Actually, I was afraid to post anything for fear of all the negative pm's folks were getting for expressing their opinions and/or personal beliefs.

I know what you mean apple, and it's such a shame. Over the past 3 years, I've gotten a wealth of great information on threads like "Natural Girls," "Iodine, Thyroid & BC," and a couple of the hormone threads, to name just a few. But, sadly, the whole tone of this forum has changed dramatically, to the point of being ridiculous and embarrassing.
For now, maybe if someone wants to know if there's a complementary tx to address a SE or other concern, they should just use the search feature and go back through threads and posts dated anywhere from 2009 into early 2011, prior to all the weirdness. That info' should be current, and those threads very helpful.
I'm also happy to help anyone search for good, relevent info' within this forum. Deanna
