Red wine. A blend of cabernet and merlot called Pillar Box Red. Yummy and a good attitude adjuster.

Oh, thaks Bren. Not that I like to keep them away. I have a pear tree in my garden, pears never ripen, but when they fall on the ground, the deer love them. SO cute to see them, digging in the snow to find the ones on the ground.
-
Well, I've had really bad white wine that I thought probably tasted like urine. BUT - I didn't really know, it was just a guess.
-
blue, your pee-in-the-coke joke was hilarious. More later, once I catch up. I'm a page behind as I type this. And, just so no one is confused, we're having a small glass of Bailey's in a few minutes. Milky beige colored -- not straw-colored.

Lunch time!!! - my busker dude is out there, I can hear him. Off to the land of sun and Neil Young:)
BTW - I think someone on these boards is in serious need of medical help - totally mad
-
Good. I can't think of a disease that would make urine look like that. So in Jungian, universal archetype, symbolism terms, you should be safe, Otter.
-
Well we were talking about goats and pee yesterday. That's probably what did it.
-
I am back and the day ended up being good after all. Nothing better than playing with your horse and then coming back to this thread being 4 pages long but I enjoyed catching up.
Please - I want a Cape Cod and make it a double! Won't need to many of them as I am a cheap date
errr.....drunk is what I meant. -
Gives a whole new meaning to Tea Pee-ers!
Need another double, Make it Laphroaig this time, should go well with the lobotomy.
-
I said I'd be back, but there's really nothing I can say that would contribute to the advancement of world peace. I am reminded of ... well, never mind. Just never mind. Some behaviors seem so hopelessly complex and illogical; yet the solution is quite simple.
This has been a very odd day. Mr. otter was upset about many things today, most of which are out of our control. It is far too hot; all our extracurricular vehicles are broken; an unexpected downpour yesterday flooded our pond, which he was trying to drain; the repair yard has still not sent an estimate for the repairs to our boat; and I have that pesky UTI. He tried some retail therapy (Home Depot, I think), and it worked -- he came home clear-headed and in a better mood.
Tonight, we watched a program on History International about the Kennedy assassination, and the conflict between the Kennedy family and Lyndon Johnson during those next traumatic days. I was in 6th grade at the time, so I remember vividly the shock of losing a President. (There had been only 2 in my lifetime.) I had no idea what was going on behind the scenes. It's surprising the two men belonged to the same political party and had run on the same ticket. I think sometimes we forget that politics weren't simpler and there wasn't any less animosity back then, than now.
I hope everyone can sleep peacefully tonight. Remember -- tomorrow is Friday.

Nothing more handsome than a Scottish man, even a wee one! You're going to have to lock him up in about 10 years! Absolutely precious.
-
What a lovely face to wake up to! Blue, he is so, so, adorable - curls, dddddddeeeeep brown eyes? Good genes!
IJBCAngel - The TeeP'ers. Perfection. Isn't it just so wonderful when someone hits the nail right on the head!
Ok, HOT. it's early am, just walked down the driveway to the road to get my newspaper, in the "plastic sleeve" at the road, peeked out from under the shade of the trees, and thought I'd walked into an oven. Very strange. Back into the shade for the day.
Thinking of Athena, and my friends in Bethesda, HOW can they survive in a heat index that's going to near 116? A temp ( in the shade of 102?) just doesn't seem possible in that swamp.
-
It was 85 on my deck this morning -- in the shade at 6:00 a.m. I actually had to pant walking up the little hill in front of my house to get out to the bus! It's like walking through soup.
Even the weather person on the NBC affiliate said it was OK to whine about the heat.

One day I'm gonna eat him up. He makes me work for hugs and kisses! His dad is Scottish....hmmmm, Scottish/Italian mix.
-
I think we got the worse of the heat yesterday....hopefully!
