Dietary Supplement Labelling Act

Options

You do know that this campaign is being funded by the supplement importing industry of Utah, which has paid Sen Orrin Hatch millions of dollars over the years to keep the big, evil government from verifying that what they say is in the product is actually in the product, don't you?

Most of these products are imported from China, with all the attendant purity issues.

I WISH you people would do your homework before you pass along this stupid scaremongering nonsense.

And I'm saying this as someone whose mother raised her on Adele Davis, so, yes, I do know what I am talking about!

Thanks, ICanDoThis, I too am someone who likes some reassurance that what the label says I'm purchasing actually reflects what's in the bottle.

If we all bought our supplements as herbs and potions from the old lady down the street supplements would not need to be regulated. We do not and they do.

Some people feel confident that by buying their supplements from medical professionals at a higher price they have higher quality. I find that illogical. Medical professionals are not experts in the manufacture of supplements. Supplement companies are big businesses just like drug companies and they deservs the same oversight.
