Dance to Lady Gaga?
-
I ellipticalled to Lady Gaga. Allegedly burned 600 calories - did 4.62 miles - a little more than 50 min. Now to stay away from the Doritos...
-
I went out needed few things.
I left the AC on.
Now I have all types of berries .99 and AG for .99
I was so hot got a lemon ice from the vendor.
-
I look at the elliptical when I let the dogs out does that count? Thanks Seyla for another background pix...
A story...you know how people come into your life for a reason (like you guys) well I got laid off in 2005 and the person that has my job and my office is now a friend of mine. She has had cancer in both breasts, colon and thyroid. Well, her son of 26 died 6 weeks ago of colon, liver, stomach and another type of cancer...she is in such a bad place. She started a fund in his name to help people who have cancer who need things. We were going to lunch often before he died and she spent 6 weeks (taking fmla) from work to watch him die. We went out to lunch on Friday with another parent advocate friend of ours who is a breast cancer survivor (another story) and hung out for the day, shopping, they got me out of the house. Well today, I received a check from her for 150.00 "from Michael" for me to get a battery for my car" I told she that I didn't want her to do it when she offered...she sent me a car with the check in it and told me to get the battery....
When I say I appreciate my friends like you guys you have no idea how important they/you are to me.....I will get the battery and then donate the rest back to the Michael fund!! Isn't that so cool!!! Hopefully, the care will get back on the road, soon!!!
have a wonderful night...
oh went to the drs. today, daughter went, not sure why, she told people I wasn't as sick as I say I am and sort of think she went to see if it was what I said ( i know I am cynical) just to make sure...and anyway, he gave me zofran for the nausea and am going on the zometa as soon as he gets the approval from the insurance company asked him for how long, he said as long as....i am going back every 3 weeks, so she got an earful and hope she is satisfied that i really do have active cancer and that I am on chemo and getting another infusion type next weekl.....maybe she wanted it not to be true well it is...she told me she couldn't handle it, well guess now you don't have a choice.....
love you guys...it is going to be really hot, stay in and stay cool......

Hula to Lady Gaga, LOL
-
Sandy...Your post brought tears to my eyes for many different reasons.
Sorry about her loss I really am. But in her pain she reached to help you.
This is what call a humanity and friendship.
Hoping your SE will be minimal or none. HUGS

Awesome Sandy!!! What a GREAT story!!! SO happy for you! Get the battery and get going! I'm also glad to hear your daughter went with you today. Maybe that is what she needed. Hopefully she will understand what you are going through and be a little nicer and more helpful towards you. Sounds like you had an awesome day. Thanks for sharing!!
-
I'm watching the soccer game between PER & URU while Im on the computer and trying to eat my AG.
-
AG is 4.99 a pound!!!!!!
-
(((((Sandy)))) and to your friend. It is very tramatizing to see someone you love slowly die of cancer. I know, I watched my Mom battle this beast. She was only 64 yo. I will be 60 in October. That is why I am going to tell my onc (if my TM is still abnormal) to find out why it is abnormal.
-
My AG tasted like grass no taste at all????????????
WHY??????????

-
Depends on where it was grown and what type of soil. I bought a watermelon at Walfart and it had no taste and had the consistency of a sponge. Yet two weeks before that we bought one and it was so sweet and juicey.
-
Native corn is in season now. It comes from the western part of the state. Haven't bought any yet. My tomatoes are getting big and I have peppers. I wish I knew what to do with my Lemon Balm.
-
-
I keep forgetting every Friday we have Farmers Market here.
I love their fresh stuff especially corn carrots etc....They still have soil on them soo fresh.
Lemon Balm.....I'm sure will go well with fish
-
Culinary use
Lemon balm is often used as a flavouring in ice cream and herbal teas, both hot and iced, often in combination with other herbs such as spearmint. It is also frequently paired with fruit dishes or candies. It can be used in fish dishes and is the key ingredient in lemon balm pesto.
Make pesto!!!!

Time for TV.
Good Night.
-
lol - looking at the elliptical is step 1. Man were my legs tired today.
(((((((Sandy)))))))) what a story. It is so good when something good can come out of something tragic. So sorry for your friend.
Glad the Dr. is going to give you the zofran - hope it does the trick so you can feel better. Hope going with you to your appt helps your DD to understand what you are going through and that she finds a way to cope. Maybe not trying to take everything in all at once and breaking it down into smaller pieces - dealing with one thing at a time. Easier said than done. ((((((HUGS)))))))
Hoping Deb's TM's are normal! ♥
Went door to door asking for money for the Relay for Life. Didn't do as well as last year, but some people said they would go on our team page - I hope they do. Hate to sign up and then not raise much money... Will have to do more later in the week and next week - more streets. Even if people just give us a few dollars, it adds up.
I don't even know what lemon balm is...
Keep cool and take it easy -
-
I was here at 9;44AM.
Morning Good
-
Wishing a good day♥
See you later.
-
I am here now. Hope you have a nice day!
-
Thanks guys, it seems that is all I say. Hope everyone had a wonderful day in this heat!! Wonderful Chris hope you get the money that you want....
Shiela....Farmers market, get good stuff...take pix.
Chris the eliptical is your friend...lol
Deb keep advocating for yourself to the dr.
Feeling tired after 5 days on Xeloda.....Well got the battery but of coure nothing is ever easy, it is in the wheelwell and the care is in my driveway and can't get it out, my son came over to try to do it and he couldn't either...guess I am not going anywhere in my car tomorrow, need to find someone that can come take the tire off (with their own cause I don't have one, didn't know that) and have the right tools cause the battery acid is all over the posts..,OMG it seems like all I do is complain, I am so sorry.....just feeling so frustrated.....and am not a 1/2 full kinda person.....maybe tomorrow will b better
-
Oh no - Sandy - you don't know complaining... I am the QUEEN of complaining. So complain away -I'm right there with you. NOTHING in this world works right. And everything is a colossal pain in the ass. It doesn't surprise me anymore that the stupid battery would be in the wheel well. Who designs these things? I hope you can find someone to do it for you. UGH! (((((((((((((((Sandy))))))))))))))))))
-
MEN design them!! Right Sandy! Complain away! Hope you get the help you need.
-
Sandy...You have AC right?
Well...Im not complaining today.
I had a very productive day. I labeled the bags for BB &S pick up Monday. # more bags of Christine winter stuff is going to my little Angel J she'll be 11 years old next month.
Mother & Daughter are coming to see me Friday morning.
I cleared my computer room and everything else

The more I clear things the better I feel.
Now i have to take the garbage out & take my shower.
Tomorrow my friend is driving me to my DR appointment after we are going to Kohls.
lalalalalalaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I forgot the most important thing Natalie's friend who calls me Mom brought some Carvel. OMG I ate it so fast i dont remember it. It was just yummy.
-
Now that's a good friend! Very productive day for you. I love throwing things out. Problem is DH loves collecting 'things'.
-
Linda...DD#2 hates throwing things. But it will be 3 years in January she is not here and her winter clothes and junk taking space. I just cant handle it. So we did it together when she was here
-
Yay for cleaning things out! I need to clean this place out. I'm becoming more and more ocd the longer I live in this cluttered mess.
Glad you had such a productive day AND got to have your Carvel reward!
I bought three new tank tops. I've been wearing the same clothes for the last 5 years or so. Sad to look at pictures and I'm wearing the same clothes in all of them. I don't want to be this size, so I don't want to invest in a wardrobe this size. They were only $7 each, so I figured it wasn't too much a waste of money. Bought a new pair of bermuda shorts too. I feel like I'm looking in a fun house mirror in the dressing room. I know I'm fat, but is my ass really THAT BIG??!!
