Hi ,  Can;t wait  Hooterville here we come. I will bring some dark chocolate for dessert. I heard that it is good for you. Just wondering if you bring your own wine into a restaurant do they charge a corkage fee if the wine is in a box?  SharonH

Hope you all don't mind...I tend to let out some pretty mighty belches when I drink beer.  I promise not to "burp and blow" on you.

Oh, I forgot about Jager bombs, we need somebody to agree to drink jagermeister, 02bhealthy. And car bombs--this is where you pour a shot of Bailey's, and drop it, shot glass and all, into a pint of Guinness and drink it down in one fell swoop, while it foams all over the place. Bugs you would be so impressed with your belching after drinking a car bomb, you would never switch back to just plain beer. You'ld really do some great belches after this. And Blue Motorcycles, somebody out there must like 'em. Do we have a volunteer?-- they are bright blue and very delicious.

I draw the line at anything bright blue...that's not natural, lol. Actually it goes back to when I saw my ex drunk as a skunk for the very first time (after over a decde of marriage). He decided to start drinking, and his first bout was with some drinks called Blue Hawaiians. I had to clean up the resulting mess and that's put me off brighht blue food ever since.

    I needed this today.

I love the idea of the cheese wiz flying all over the place!  But I won't do the Jager.  Never had it but can't get over the Vick 44 cough syrup smell.  Too many bad memories as a kid.

NancyD - You are definitely exempt from any blue concoctions!  Reminds me of a similiar situation with my ex but I won't digress into the details.  Anybody who puts a blue drink in front of you will be sentenced to 30 minutes on the exercise bike!

ck55 - The Brown Lantern has great burgers!  Don't get there much but you could always PM me if your heading this way!

Those are some pretty exotic sounding concoctions, Weesa, but I'm wondering if you know how to make MY specialty drinks? How about the BMX Collins or the Hot Flash? Do you have the ingredients for Foobies on the Rocks or the Taxol Sunrise or maybe an Arimidex Sour?

Screw the cancer/sugarlink for just this one day--or maybe two days.

Celtic- Yum!  Please bring  the recipes for those drinks. The only one I have of yours is the one for the Adriamycin Sunset.

Jager bombs are an acquired taste,  you just have to get past the medicinal taste... I lasted a full 32 hours non stop in Las Vegas on jager bombs...never felt tired and danced the night away Laughing

I am not real sure about bright blue drinks, but I am game to try just about anything once.

squeeze me in, ladies! i'll bring the sugar: chocolate bars, cheesecake, more chocolate bars....

ohh, i remember jager bombs.....ahhh. my husband would never do them with me - he's partial to G and Ts himself (or scotch)...

    o2bhealthy: love that story!!!

i'm wondering if this party bus should coordinate a real trip to Las Vegas or somewhere decadent, such as the TaTa sisterhood jaunt to Las Vegas you see her. i just know we'd have a blast!

weesa, see what your slouching started? Smile

(and yes, for God's sake...let's us IGNORE cancer-sugar link on this thread.)

Weesa, I am in the same boat as you.  I have the best of intentions and sometimes I follow through.....but tonight I was on my deck enjoying several Coors Lites with my hubby.  That seems to be the case more often than not.

Well how great are all of you sistas!!  I've been a kind of self loathing sloucher since dx.  Always did all the right things all my life and still got cancer.  Ate healthy, educated myself with books on women's health, yearly mammos and pap smears, ran 3 miles every day and worked out,  also rode my horses in jumping shows, stayed physically active,  great salad and fish eater, no sugar or preservatives.  Oh, and my Dh works in the vitamin healthfood manufacuring industry, so i've always had supply of greatsupplemts especially while breastfeeding all of my children.  When I found out i had breast cancer stage III,  I thought WTF  How did this happen to ole unsloucher me  After the shock of it I was given a book to encourage me "Crazy Sexy CAncer"   Didn't really do anything for me.  So now i'm just focusing on getting thru my days feeling good, so like a real sloucher I intentionally skip the Tomoxifen for a day or two here and there.  I could have done my 3 mile walk that I tell myself every day that I want to do, BUT  not really?  I wish I could be more like everyminute, and sherri, but the body suddenly has turned against me and prefers to slouch., And I hate the side effects of Tomoxifen and go days not taking my dose.  Now that is really slouching..Weesa I would love to sit in your pub and have a Bombay Sapphire Martini a3 olives & 3 onions   luv it!!!  Goes great with caviar. Today I slouched all day on my front proch reading a book and watcing all the people walking up the block to go to the beach for Lobster Fest here in Bradely Beach, and fireworkd toningt.

K-Lo, great question! I've been wondering my damn self.  How bout one of each, an actual and a virtual. Actual will be in mid-October, and virtual will go on into infinity

We will celebrate our collective debauchery with the mother of all parties!.

I have finally discovered the limits of slouchness.....

Did a group ride today where the lunch destination was a place noted for biscuits and grease.  They say "like Gramma made it", but Gramma didn't exactly have a light touch.  Plus, we had to wait an hour for this food.

They gave us corn bread to nibble on, but it was drenched in some sort of frosting!!!!  I ordered an eggs benedict, and ate the egg, ham and sauce.  Skipped the biscuit....tasted it and BLECH.  Ate some of the potatoes that were swimming in fat.

Then, I had to cycle the 15 or so miles with the group back to the car.  Thank goodness, I didn't have the egg-sausage combo which was a plate full of more grease than even I got.

I am amazed......this place is the "before" joint in "Eat This, Not That".

I did ask the ride leader how he could eat all that food and get back on a bicycle.  I still don't understand how he managed.  At least, my tummy held up, and I worked some of it off.

I guess the most important learning is that I don't eat that much grease after all.  Not compared to the big leagues.  Wow. - Claire

Today was my Gpa's memorial service and in fine the "x" family function we all toasted to Gpa by doing shot's...today's shots of choice were Firebomb's (a cinnamon infused whiskey) which I liked much better then the Rose's tequila that we used to toast my Gma a few years ago.

It was a bittersweet day full of family, friends, food and memories.  My Gp's 5 children, 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, their collective spouse's and friends ...what an amazing legacy for a wonderful man.

and claire- your biscuit post was hilarious!! my son loves biscuits and is always begging me to make some.

yes, some grease is killer, although soo tasty in small amounts. love bacon...last summer, i found a recipe for a BLT made with peanut butter. actually awesome, on a crusty roll...yum. thought of the sloucher club last night. was working and had brought healthy snacks (avocado, orange)..finished those and found oatmeal raisin cookies (homemade) in the break room. you can imagine what happened next (drum roll, screaming offstage)...oh dear it all went up in smoke!!

hope folks are having a good day...again, thinking of you O2b.....

I actually paniced yesterday because I went to a family party, had beef, pasta, cake and oh yeah salad and a diet coke.   I thought OMG this is why I got bc it's the way I eat.  Then I laid on my couch and watched everyone run, walk, bike past my house.   I need to get motivated to excersize.  Radiation is knocking me out though.   I have incorporated more veggies and fruit and cutting back on meat.

Do you think if I just gradually make changes that's okay?

I just love sugar....why is it so bad....bummer.   Wish beans were as good.
