-
Do NOT stop Mum!!! I think a lot of us are living vicariously through your vacation shots!!!!
-
This is the final sunset from the Dominican when my DD had her wedding. I don't know if it will show up here (small resolution) but the sun is almost at the trees:
-
I am loving all the photos..we head to the real beach right after the women's world cup soccer match today
-
this is a hotel on the beach in The Hague,
-
The last stop of our roadtrip was Prague Check Republic.A very popular city for tourists.
-
-
-
-
Wow, those kids are sitting so casually on the steps. You have to wonder if they`ve even looked up!!!!
-
Looks like a great trip Mum...we need to know where they were taken..
I took this Sunday on the beach..
-
The last set were all taken in Prague Check Republic.
-
Yea, going to my shore house from Thursday till Monday.................can't wait.......busy time with a few people coming down, but it should be fun...............well at least for them...................for me..............no sun, and maybe................a short time in the pool..............by the time I get use to the water temp It will be time to get out because of the sun..........................althogh with the temp. in Pa.and NJ hitting close to 100 all week, the pool will probably be warmer then most would like...............but for me it can't be warm enough.
2 great grandbabies are coming down too..............should be fun, but no sleep........only 4 months old...................oh Lord.........................
-
......and you know you`ll love every second of it Ducky!!!! Have a blast, sweetie!
-
Mum, Prague looks like a city I must visit someday
-
Lisa it is beautiful and was not damaged much durring the war.So much history everywhere.Next summer we hope to get to Austria and Hungary. My parents homeland.
-
-
Lisa - I want to join you when you go to Prague. I have never been there either and it looks beautiful with so much history and beautiful architecture.
-
Okay, I`ll join in too! Looks like great photo ops!!
-
road trip!!! except for the planes involved of course, but wouldn't that be awesome to plan and do???
ducky, enjoy your time at the shore. we're going friday to monday, that's how we take our vaca time. I know you'll enjoy the company, but don't overdo - it's really not worth it. you have to know when your body says "enough" and go sit down, or take a nap. in the end that will serve you, and your guests, better.
hugs to all
-
ducky - enjoy your time at the beach. I won't be able to go again until Sept 10th and then I will stay for 3 - 4 days. At least by then most of the tourist will be gone so should have the beaches and shops to ourselves for the most part. Take time to rest and take care of yourself and enjoy those great grandbabies.
-
Thanks, Barb, Marle, and Amyjo................It will be fun............but the weather is going to be a bear..................they are saying triple digits for Pa..............NJ, probably won't get that hot, but what is the difference in 98, or 100........not much.............well at least we do have the pool......................
-
So here's my beach writing-not as good as Faith's-couldn't get close enough to the water, sand wouldn't hold the writing!
-
Looks Great to me, thanks
-
Joni, it looks GREAT!!!! Just as good as Faiths!!! You done good!
-
Yes, you done good. I just want to dip my toes in the water. Flip flops and all.
-
It was GORGEOUS-we went over expecting high 50's - low 60's clouds & rain. It rained each night -after midnite. Had some clouds in the AM & by afternoon the sun was out-all week! It was awesome. And on Tuesday we were able to observe 5 whales that were within eye sight (binoculars made it better though) - they cavorted and hung out off shore all day! They came up & waved, and rolled & spouted-it was way COOL!
-
DREAM!!!!!!!!! On the BEACH!!!!!!!!
Love popping in and seeing you here with flip-flops Dream-girl!!!!!!
JONI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I LOVE the writing in the sand!!!! I love the long-view perspective with sooooooo much beach showing. I think you've got an awesome angle and of course I love the sentiment. How was your get-away?? From the looks of this picture you were in heaven!!!
I wanna join the international roadshow -- where ever we decide to vagabond together. I would love to have an afternoon seminar with our TinyFishy and our SoCal experts. I know either of you could teach me so much, together you could charge admission.
Roadiefaith????? Where are you. I know I've fallen off the radar a bit, but I think I haven't seen a recent update. I hope that just means your busy as a bee and trying to stay cool. I can't ever remember WI being this hot -- and certainly not for this long. What's up with that????
This week is our annual Plein Air (outdoor) painting festival. It's my fave week of the summer. I've already gone to a painting seminar and watch another 10 of the artists on location.
Tonight is our village's night to host a paint-off at the marina and then a gala to follow. I'm going with a yoga buddy, hoping that there's an abrupt cooling in the next hour. LOL.
DH just picked up his uncle from the airport, so the two of them will be fishing over the next week.
I have a book signing party tomorrow, hosted by the Vintage Venerable book club of the county. We're expecting a ladies-who-lunch turn out of 32 guests at a fal-da-rah restaurant.
I've spent nearly every waking moment of the last 48 hours writing a proposal for a national convention. It was sooooooo huge but I got it done before midnight EST last night and can smile again.
Hope that everyone is managing to stay relatively cool. Take good care of yourselves in this brutal heat. If it's this hot here, I can only imagine our Southern Belles.

ooooooooooooooooo Joni, you were posting while I was typing........ how awesome to see the whales up close!!!
We went on a whale watching trip on our honeymoon in Maine and saw several from the boat perspective. We saw a mama and her calf.
Glad to hear that your weather was cooperative.
