Hi Mary Lou - Yep, just had my 5 year cancerversary on Aug 30th.  I can't believe how much time has passed.  Seems like yesterday we were all dealing with the SE of chemo.  I thank God for all of you and pray everyone is doing well.  It's been so nice meeting sisters and their families.  But, at the same time, so sad to lose so many to this hideous disease.   Glad you are doing well.  Love your new avatar.  Sebastian is so big and handsome.  I remember when he was born.

    Deb - Are you ok?

Waving hello to all my chemo sisters and sending many prayers your way for good health and well being.

    Love and hugs always!

Hello dear sisters! Yes the five-year mark is just ahead. I had my surgery on September 14th. We are heading back to Virginia on the 15th. This has been a great summer!

Today was my 5 year cancerversary!`  Such a journey. I have been honored to have each one of you through it all. We have all been able to resume our lives, and experience many joys and sorrows.

I think of our Kaye.....and some of the sisters that were my friends, now they are angels. They had to pay the price for this horrific Disease.

I'm scheduled for my mamo on Tuesday. I always remember the day I was told when I go back. This time I feel a sigh of relief.... 5 years has passed. And many grand babies born. I feel so very blessed.

I love you all . ((((((BIG CYBER HUG )))))))))

Congrats on our 5 year mark!!  We have come a long way, so proud of us all.  My son's peewee football team voted to wear pink socks in October to support bc awareness.  The vote was unaminous and they were so excited to wear them and show their support.  How sweet is that?  The coach and the players did not know I was a survivor. I think my son has probably mentioned it to some of the kids by now. Anyway, it is not about me, but it is about these boys showing their compassion and it is awesome.

Hello and Happy New Year to all my sisters.  Its amazing that we are in 2011.  Did you ever wonder if you would be here in 2011?  What survivors we are.Smile  The pictures of grandchildren not yet born when we were diagnosed says so much.  I wish you all the joy, riches, and especially good health this year.  Though I don't communicate as often as I should, you are all in my heart forever.

    Love,

    Nancy

Hi ladies, I wanted to send my love and tell you how much I miss you.  I have had my ups and downs, but I have a wonderful new doctor who is intent on getting rid of all the nasty after-effects of cancer treatments and making me feel almost as good as I did before cancer came into my life!  Daniel is awesome, by the way.  I post about him all the time on Facebook, so if you get the chance, pop over there and say hi!  Love and prayers, Deb

So sorry Mary Lou!! Is it just in the bones?  I hope only the bones and that the treatment helps with the pain.  I don't know what to say except I am thinking of you and let me know if you need help researching treatments or trials!!!  Your docs will come up with a good plan. You are such a beautiful person inside and out, cancer has no business being there!!

Much Love to you My Sister,

    Margerie

Mary Lou, I am heartsick. I can only imagine how difficult getting this news is for you and your family.  I am sending you all the positive energy possible, along with a hug for you and all my sisters.  I wonder if Zometa will be part of your treatment, but whatever the treatment, I am sure you are in good hands.

    Love,

    Nancy

    ML-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

I have been really consumed with organizing the Relay For Life, and this past week the girl I gave a speech with at last year's Relay in Chicago passed away.  My heart has been aching, but I just logged in to my yahoo account, and saw a long string of "one of your favorite topics have been updated."  I KNEW something was wrong and was terrified to come here and see.

Yes, just half a year ago we were cheerfully announcing life after cancer, but we are now going to be back here CONSTANTLY and be by your side, dear sister.

I have no idea how you feel right now, and remember that you are within your right to feel each and every emotion that surfaces.  Do you still have my number?  I will send it to you. Sometimes we need to have the outlet to scream, laugh, cry and swear to people that can carry the burden alongside you (that way, you and your family simply focus on loving each other).

We love you, and like everyone else in our small corner of bc.org, we are right beside you.

    LOVE AND PRAYERS. DEBBIE

Mary Lou~ How are you doing???  I know you have an MRI on the 9th. Geez, that is a long time to be in limbo.  I hope they are able to zap the pain for you right away and get the bugger out of there once and for all.  Thinking of you and hope you are hanging in there strong.

    Much Love,

    Margerie

Hi sisters........Boy it was a long time getting my plan.... But easy compared to the the first round. I knew more. I have widespread bone mets. Plan is Arimidex, along with Zometa for 6 months. Then a scan to see where I stand.

I will fight as hard as I can. And pray with all my heart. I love you all. You just have no idea.

Crap :(  I had forgotten all about cancer for short while. After my 5 years passed I was a little more relieved. Here I go again, but holding hands with each one of you. That gives me peace.
