Time for some TV.
It was a fun night.
Good Night♥
-
I wish you guys Sweet dreams and wake up with a big smile.
-
Hi Raj!
Glad Christine is home and safe.
Gender nuetral made me laugh too!! Pat, Toni, Cameron, Bobby, all can be gender nuetral.
-
Shiela so glad she made it safely and so happy you got to spend some time with her.
Hi Raj!!
General neutral...who made the rules? Remember the old days when you were surprised to find out what you were having and you were grateful for whatever it was and you only had 1 shower, no co-ed showers.....i am getting old, love the old days.....good luck with the shower.....
Linda how was time with the child? Mine doesnt want to be seen with me
Now I need your help suggestions whatever, daughter told me that she is having a hard time with the diagnoses..people kept telling me I needed to tell her, well I know her better than anyone (30) and didn't think she could handle it, well I was right....what do I do? I really don't have the energy to take care of other people, I don't have anybody to take care of me.....I will not be telling her anything anymore cause she tells the world and people I asked her not to and told her she hurt my feelings and disrespected me. She said she can't handle things that is why. she was in counseling but she married the idiot and his insurance doesn't cover that counselor and she hasn't looked for another one......I will say that I haven't told my son (36) but will this weekend....I really don't care whether they can handle it or not they are adults and I am alone...deal with it....am i being selfish expecting that of them and how do I deal with her.....thanks guys I treasure your opinion and sorry about all the drama...appreciate you listening!!
-
You should tell them, Sandy and they should support you!! Have you told them you feel very alone and that makes dealing with the DX even harder? Tell them you want to enjoy time with them and the kids. Tell them you need help too. Tell them very specifically what you need. If they choose to ignore you, well screw them! They are old enough to understand what is going on and should want to help you. I hope they do!!
-
Oh Sandy, I'm so sorry... Maybe you could call the American Cancer Society (1-800-227-2345) and see if you can talk to a counselor who is trained to help people in your situation and in your kids' situations. I think that's one of the things they provide. You could call to ask them how to deal with how your daughter feels and how to tell your son and then you could ask them how you can get your daughter in touch with someone who can help her. So often it is the cancer patient that has to comfort their families and friends when it should be the other way around. (((((((((((Sandy)))))))))))))
-
Also - where you go for treatment - is there a social worker available for the patients? If so, maybe you can call them and they can help.
-
Sandy, I need to clarify. Your kids know you have cancer, right? Do they just not realize the stage and everything you are going through? Or do they know nothing at all?
-
It's hot again...
-
I'm home.
My girl friend picked me up from MH and we all went to Costco BBB and have a breakfast dinner at IHOP. It's hot outside but the restaurant was so cold I'm actually OK with just the fan.
HI raj.
Sandy...I'm thinking of you♥
-
I'm enjoying my Sam
-
Me too, just ringless.
-
I am really talking about the older ones, yes they know....i have to talk to my son (36) and tell him, he knows but doesn't want to know anything.....jamie suprised me and took me to washington dc this afternoon even to see the panda's by the time we got there they were inside and didn't see a thing but it was fine, it was a nice thought an i appreciate it.
Back on the Xeloda for 14 days, took the pills about 1/2 hour ago.....not looking forward to these SE....calgon take me away or rather you guys tell me stuff about you, what you are doing this weekend....so tired of living within myself....talk to me about you and what you are doing....
macys is calling tomorrow from 12-6 ...thanks guys!!

((((((Sandy, Sheila, Linda, Diane, Chris, Raj & Meece))))))
((((TOL)))))
Tomorrow Yard Sales (YS) then BW. After that DH mows the lawn and I will trim hedges and weed wack. I also noticed some nasty weeds growning in my garden. Got too many raspberries ripening at once. Sunday, flea market then to a wake.
-
Tomorrow is Costco, then yard work. We were just watching Kings Speech on blueray and the darn thing just froze. Will return/exchange tomorrow.
Day 2 without Arimidex and I am feeling damn good. Better enjoy this week I guess.
I went to Toys 'R Us today for the first time in probably 20 years. What IS all that stuff???? God, I have not been keeping up.
-
HI

I dont know what Im doing yet.
Sandy...I missed Macy's so much. Next week when it reaches 90 here in NY I will go and spend a day there.
Diane...I didn't forget the secret recipe which is not really a secret. I will PM you

Deb...Did you start gardening yet/ I love raspberries.
Linda...Can i come to the pool today?
chris...what are your plans?
(((TOL)))
I'm watching Spanglish one of my fav movie so funny.
-
I have been gardening since the snow left, LOL
-
Gorgeous day today. Last night had 4 gals from the HS class of 69 meet at a OCF last night, had a great time reminising.
-
Well, I actually got off my lazy, fat a$$ and cleaned the lawn furniture - with bleach and water. They aren't perfect; I can see where there is some dirt? that didn't come out, but they are good enough for now. And I did several small "hand wash" loads of laundry. AND I did a little ironing. I feel like I had a productive day. OH - AND I cleaned one of our showers. I hate that job. So for me - that was a productive day.
Harry Potter tomorrow then concert on the green in neighboring town - DD plays in the community band with a friend.
You know, I wonder about blue-ray. We have two relatively new blue-ray players - hate it when we have to buy new technology because THEY decided it is the new standard... Anyway - we have only a couple blue-ray movies and both movies have skipped when we were watching them. I'm wondering - is it the players or the dvd's? Last night we were watching the last Harry Potter movie - refreshing DH's and BIL's memories before we go to the last movie tomorrow and right before the very last scene, the stupid thing skipped to the end! We were able to rewind and watch it properly, but gees. Crappy technology.
-
Glad to hear you all and "productive" days, me went to work that is it....laying down (feet tingling probably from the Xeloda, waiting for the SE"
I love flea markets wish I had someone to go with me.
-
Tomorrow we are going to buy a Lawn Mower. My 35 dollar one just won't start anymore. Found one at Sears for $159. I use it to get close to my trees and flowers beds, DH mows over them with the lawn tractor., GRRRR.
-
Oops - you need to put up a little protective fence. $35 lawn mower? Bet you got more than your money's worth on that one (assuming you've had it a while)
Good for you - working - Sandy. I need to rejoin the workforce... thought I'd give the kids one last summer (of course, that's what I said last summer... but this time I mean it) Hope the foot tingling goes away. Does Xeloda cause neuropathy (hope not) or is it something else? Hoping for no se's! (or at least minimal...)
Gotta get out for a "run" - getting dark out there.
-
I had a quiet day.
-
Just got home from a beach party on the Cape. It was awesome, weather was perfect! So nice to see so many friends.
Hang in there Sandy!!
-
Beach party on the cape, did you take pix...hanging Linda thanks
Chris apparently there is hand and foot symdrom or something about that....around the third month of treatment.
Hand-and-foot syndrome can make your hands and/or feet have:
- Tingling, burning, or numbness
- Redness or swelling
- Flaking or peeling skin
- Small blisters
- Sores or breaks in the skin
- Discomfort or pain
sounds like fun....wish I was a 1/2 full kinda person and I could be optimistic but it just seems like everything is falling apart 1 by 1....sorry to complain all the time....if it bothers you or you don't want me to say stuff plz tell me.....I don't wish to piss anybody off about me talking.
-
Sandy we are all here for you! Please don't ever leave us! That's what this place is all about, you can come here and say anything and we don't judge. (((Sandy))
Yes I took pics but am heading to bed soon. If I can figure out how to do it, I will post them tomorrow.
Goodnight all!
-
Sandy♥.....On TOL we complaint, rant, laugh, cry.
It's nice to have this little corner to say anything we want.
We love you.
Good Morning...It's time for my coffee
(((HUGS)))
-
