Uterine Fibroid question, pls.

I am triple neg and just about 2 1/2 yrs. out from diagnose.  Until now - no problems (lots of worrying, but no real problems).  Saw my onc in June - tumor markers 10, complete blood work and liver all great.  Proceeded on to my gyno for my yearly.  I am now 64, but in my mid to late 40s developed fibroids of the uterus, of a pretty good size, but had no problems, no symptoms, etc.  I avoided a hysterectomy as all was well with them and ovaries, etc.  Told me they would decrease in size upon menopause.  During every yearly, I would have a transvaginal sonargram to keep check on the fibroids.  They have remained basically the same as when first discovered and still no problems to present date.  However, gyno decided since my last in hospital transvaginal sonargram was done back in 2009 right before my BC diagnose, she wanted me to go back there for another one instead of her doing it in office on her smaller machine.  Had it done days ago and  gyno called yesterday telling me that my one fibroid on right side of uterus has grown since 2009 but not much (?) and it's about 4 cms now.  While she feels it will be ok, and it's probably all fibroid, she said that fibroids do not grow larger, in fact should shrink in post menopausal women, so she wants an MRI with and without contrast to have it checked.  My LDH levels were totally normal last month (that's the test they use for uterine testing) and I have not a one symptom.  Said with my history of TN BC - she must do this just to be sure it isn't a uterine leiomsarcoma.  Of course, the proverbial - now try not to worry, we just have to cover any base, it's probably just the fibroid.  Duh - she just told me they don't grow as their is no estrogen to fuel them after menopause. 

 Has anyone had anything like this occur that might be able to peel me off the wall.  I just love 4:30 pm telephone calls from doctors on a Friday.  I can't even get her order faxed to me until Monday, at which time I will immediately call and schedule the MRI.

Trying to stay calm and eating ativan (thank God I have some left over - they are probably expired, but who cares!).
