Wednesday Weigh In
Comments
-
I am off to brush my teeth so that I can't eat anymore!!!!!!!
-
oh no no no lol not next week I have chemo this thursday last one yipeeee then a week of side effects then I promise I will join
. I still have one more carb craving week to get through lol
-
Tomorrow is not looking very encouraging but I'm hanging in there.
Maybe if I start exercising right now and don't stop until tomorrow morning?
-
I know what you mean, patoo!
-
Okay, I seriously believe my scale is broke!!!! It's been hovering around the same number, up a few ounces, down an ounce, up, down, up, down, ad nauseum, for several weeks now. Good grief, can't it cut me a break. So for Friday's ELAB weigh in I'm going to clean it, change the battery and read it it's rights before I step on it. It better be careful because it is dangerously close to a window!
-
Patoo - yes, the magic word "defenestration" strikes again!! If treating it to a new battery then threatening it doesn't work, then I agree - wing it out the window!!
Kymn - I had the carb cravings during chemo as well - nothing tasted good except white bland foods like mashed potatoes, saltines, and white rice. And I wonder why I gained 20+ chemo pounds.
Happy Chemo Graduation Day tomorrow!!!!!! Ruth - I've used the brushing teeth trick as well to stop eating on nights when I can't seem to stop - nothing tastes good after a good teeth brushing.
I'm down 1.5 pounds this week!! Yoohoo! After two weeks of gain, it's nice to be on the downside again. I did get my 10 Pound Club badge this week from loseit.com. Funny how such a silly thing like getting a stupid virtual badge made me feel wonderful!!
-
I am not going to post until tomorrow because I am too scared to step on the scale today (my Book Club's annual field trip, which we fondly call "Read and Feed" was Monday).
-
still up those stupid three pounds
-
Darn! And I thought we'd dropped those things into Lake Michigan a long time ago!! I guess they're like Jason and keep coming back to life. Maybe they'll go up in smoke with the fireworks on the 4th.
-
We did drop them in Lake Michigan. Maybe they are werewolf pounds..... always lurking about waiting to pounce!
-
Welcome Kymm and Congrats on being almost done with chemo ! WOOT WOOT!!
I am still 165. I can tell the weight is sticking around. Things are getting tight. This is not water weight. Darn ! Have to travel to Ohio for a wedding next week. Long car ride, very little exercise, lots of food. UGH!
-
Guess I'll put in my disclaimer tonight. Usually I can tell if I'm down - just a feeling and it hasn't felt that way an a very long time. Thank you all for keeping me company with the frustration but you really don't have to. Promise, I won't get depressed or anything if you all start again on your downward spiral. I'll be okay, scouts honor!
-
It's a lifelong process, not a one night (week, month) stand. We will go down, and sometimes we will go up. It is the trend that is important. Also, think how fat we would be if we weren't aware of and working on it!!!!!! (Maybe posting this will keep me from my midnight snack
.)
-
Go brush your teeth. That's what I'm going to do and then just water.
-
O.K. it's a deal!
*lets report back tomorrow if we were able to stay food-free tonight
-
Will do - nighty, night.
-
OK, I was good even though DS & his girlfriend stopped by with a Dairy Queen treat for me. I thanked them profusely, took two small spoonfuls while they were looking and then dumped the rest down the drain after they left.
(the halo represents my great angelicness-lol) I have been rewarded this morning by losing one of those darned pounds!
-
Ialso was able to be good and the scale also lost a little over a pound, so, it works!
-
We better report back in tomorrow...we'll have to change this to 'Everyday Weigh In' for some of us bad girls!
-
I fly off for a vacation tomorrow early. I know I will be going in heavy because I ate too much over the 4th (no, I didn't dare weigh myself today). Have a great week. I promise I'll be good when I get back!
-
Ruthbru and Patoo- I love the 'brushing my teeth' trick- that is what I do! And I have to find a scale I can weigh on to do this thread- don't have one at home. I had lost 5 pounds before my surgery and would like to lose a lot more- but I guess it would help to count it... ;-)
-
Up .9 pounds - not surprising as I haven't exercised this week. Oh well, on to next week!
-
Forgot to weigh this morning before work. I think it may have been accidently-on-purpose cause I may not want to know? I'll do it when I get home but I always weigh more at night so maybe I can then use that as an excuse.
Spellgirl, I think you found the solution - if you don't have a scale, can't weigh so you can make it up as you go.
-
Patoo- HA! Maybe I will! The pen is always mightier than the fork....
-
Down 2.6 pounds this week - I was up almost a pound last week, so I'm really excited about this. I was very good this week with food and exercise - I guess all that clean living pays off.
Now on to next week . . .
-
Just got home from vacation yesterday, was very bad; not weighing until tomorrow.....
-
But just think Ruth - if you weigh today and your weight is up, just think of next week and how much it'll go down!
-
nope, waiting until tomorrow.....somehow I think it will need to go down either way!
-
Mary, I found your 2.6 pounds....they are on me!
-
Hi- I went to a family wedding and missed some time on the scales. Up a pound to 166. This ain't pretty !
