Florida People WHERE R U?

Hi ladies,
I am in north Tampa - near the U of So. FL
-
We were thinking maybe one day in the next couple of weeks.
Karen aka kira
-
Special K What do you think about a trip across the bay for lunch on the water in downtown St Pete? I have been raving to Karen about how pretty it is, what with the new Dali, the Chihuly (awesome...been twice already) and great new restaurants like Bella Brava and old standards like Moon under Water and Ceviche and Frescos. Check out the restaurants and then we can all vote.
-
Boy getting excited just thinking about it. The Dali sounds like a place I could spend the day just enjoying. Thanks for the link to it Barbara.
-
Plan to do the Dali AND the Chihuli. It is smaller but oh so wonderful. I will do with you!
-
Chihuli, Just looked it up, so its glass art. How interesting, I'm sure I would enjoy it as well. I absolutely love watching the artists make glass art.
-
Hi ladies,
I was over that direction not long ago walking around that very area. I purchased a pretty necklace at Bernie & Son, and went in to the gift shop by the Chihuly exibit. It was late in the afternoon so we didn't see the exibit because we didn't want to hurry through it, but had an appetizer and sangria at an outside table at Bella Brava, really nice. I am having my left TE replaced next Wed. 7/20, (it has been out since Jan., then had to stay out during chemo) so I can't drive for a while. Depends on when everyone decides is a good date for them.
-
Here is a pic of one piece installed outside. It is lit up at night and looks like....well you decide.
-
Sounds good SK.
-
Just let me know about the date and if I can make it I will be there - it would be fun!
-
I'm kinda open the rest of the month.I have a class the first 4 days of August, but I think I have a few days till I have to be back at school after I'm done with that class
-
You name it. I am open on Saturday days this month.
-
I'm not open this Saturday, but next week Saturday would work. I think that would be the 23rd, or the Saturday after that which is at the end of the month. SpecialK, I think which is best with you might be more important.

Unfortunately I am out of commission, driving-wise, from the 20th on - not sure until when... My daughter comes back to town at the end of the month and is free until USF starts mid-aug and she could bring me and then just hang out at the beach, since it is right across the street. She gets back the 29th or 30th. This is assuming that I am comfortable enough from the surgery, which I think I will be.
-
SpecialK, I think the 29th would be a Satuday if I'm right. Would your daughter be able to bring you that day?
-
I can check with her - she is up in Virginia Beach and would be coming back right about then. I'll send her a text right now.

She is not coming back until 7/31. You should probably plan without me for the moment and I will try to figure something out!
-
Wahh. I am bumping this for Juliet becasue she lives in Port Charlotte.
-
SpeciaK and Barbara would August 3rd or August 13th work? I have those open as well.
Juliet, if you see this would to have you come as well.
-
Aug 13 I am out of town. Otherwise fine.

Hi everyone,
Just wondering if maybe I can join in with you all when you decide to get together. I have snowbird cousins who stay over on Gulf Blvd/Madeira Beach so I atleast know my way over there
but I've never seen St Pete!

-
Lee your more than welcome to join where are you from?
juliet62 we were thinking a Saturday. We just have to find one that will work for most of us.
-
All, it is tough for me to do during the week, as I work but I can check and take a vacation day. But I am open weekends except the 8/13 weekend. Kira, the 3rd (Wed.) I will be in LA. The 13th is the get together in Canada with a bunch of BCO sisters.
-
I must be off on my dates sorry Barbara. So the Saturday must be the 6th. I agree weekdays are usually bad for me as well I also work. Just off for the summer.
-
So does the 6th work for folks?
-
sorry i'm working but hope you have a wonderful time, please post pictures
