How far IT can travel in neck lymph nodes???
I seem to be having a scare. Well, let me try to explain. I have some uncomfortable / swollen feeling in my neck, on my mast side, about an inch under my ear. There is no visible swelling, but when I 'poke' my finger through the neck muscle, there is a spot that is tender on touch. And sometimes it's kind of sore when I move my head / neck. Really don't know if I am describing exactly what I feel, but very scared. Tried to Google, but it's so confusing. Can the BC spread over the collar bone and further?? Please help, has anyone experienced something similar to this.I have US every month and get checked all over the neck area and it's always clear. So what can this be?? Oh, will this frustration over every single pain ever be over...

Yes, it can...I would have it checked out... My friend had a reoccurence and it showed up by a nodule in her neck that hurt... I am not trying to scare you but I want you to know it can spread there so I would have it checked out.

I agree with Jen to have it looked at if nothing just for your peace of mind. You may have unknowingly pinched a nerve, but until you know for sure you are going to be worried. I know how you feel about the frustration over every pain---I have been posting recently about some pain I've been having and not knowing if it's something "normal" or something to be worried about. It truly is like a roller coaster. Sometimes we're at the top when things are good, and then SWOOSH, we are at the bottom with a new worry! I for one want to be back at the top again!!!!!!!!

I asked my surgeon about this, if breast cancer can skip the nodes in the clavicle and go right for the upper neck. She said it was unlikely, that it usually follows a pattern. I asked her because I felt like I was having a pain under my jaw line. I wasn't sure if the pain was from touching the area soo frequently to check it. It has been about six months and the pain I thought I had went away. God I hope you can get peace of mind soon. This cancer just sucks, sucks, sucks.....Are you wearing earrings that you have not worn before? If I wear any earrings that are not pure gold or silver, I immediately get a bump right below my ear in the node there. Though I haven't worn earrings for years because all I can afford are beautiful yet not pure silver or gold earrings, this used to happen to me...Hope you get this checked out and that you can rest easy soon.....

So ladies. Woke up this morning and first things first - read your posts, got ready in five minutes and headed to hospital. Saw my onco, she reffered me to US./ It's quite straightforward here with the check ups and results./ And it turned out to be nothing, well, " just " an infection, probably caused by a bad tooth on the same side. Will see my dentist and probably take some antibiotics. Oh, I " love " infections and anything that has nothing to to with C !!!!!! Also had everything checked, nodes, liver, scars, etc. All clear !!!!! When I came out from hospital, it was raining, but for me it was sunshine and the most beautiful day!!!!! How little we need to be happy....
Thank you Pure, pupfoster and Kathleen, so so much for encouraging me. I would have still been in the worry land , if not you !!!! Yes, piece of mind is so good.... Wish you all the same.
Much appreciation and love,
Karina
