Otter -- You're telling me you watched it all the way through?  Not making a comment about the movie, except that it did have a few (well, some!) funny moments.  Bill Maher was the guest on Piers Morgan Tonight on CNN.  Now he was funny!

Happy Libby -- So glad you've made the decision.  I know you've investigated it thoroughly and have decided what's best for you.  Just make sure it doesn't interfere with your visit -- we're expecting you, sweetie!

Sunflowers -- Can't believe you had to deal with gallstones AND pancreatitis on top of chemo.  That is SO unfair!

I asked this question on the Industrial Complex thread, but I'll pose it here, too. How many deletions does it take for someone to get banned? Seems like Blue gets one post reported and she's outta here for a weekend at least. Someone else had about 5 posts removed today, and she's still kicking up her little rainbow heels. What am I missing??

Oh, and let me just say I'd WAY rather lose my breasts to cancer than lose my life to it. I was lucky not to HAVE to do chemo (those others with my type of CA have made the decision to, for whatever reasons.) I am fortunate to have had the choice. Twice. (Well, the twice thing isn't fortunate.) But I do agree that what was a choice for me may not be someone else's choice.

And, can I also say that I really liked most of my homeroom teachers, as well as study hall?? But I have a feeling that if some of us were in there together, we'd have ended up in detention for too much giggling and note passing!

Naps?  Did someone say "naps"?  Otters love naps!

OMG, two of my favorite flavors -- chocolate and Kahlua -- combined in the same spoon.  You've given me a great idea.  We sometimes have milkshakes made with vanilla ice cream, Kahlua, and rum.  They're one of dh's specialties.  I wonder what they would taste like if made with chocolate ice cream.... Gotta try that.  I'll dedicate it to konakat.

IIRC, baby otters are usually called otter "pups".  I checked Google and also found "whelps" and "kits", but I've never heard those terms used for baby otters. (Maybe the females "whelp" the pups... I don't know.)   What's fun is that an otter's den is called a "couch".  Works for me.

AnneW - I am wondering the same thing.  Why is it that someone can have so many posts deleted and still be posting?  Why does Blue get temporarily banned but we have others that create chaos on an hourly basis and for some reason are able to continue posting?

Anne ... from what I've seen the deletions by the Moderators do not activate the automatic suspend/ban system that the 'Community' reports do.  

I broke down and took a percocet even though I read it had been recalled.  Didn't feel like dealing with a headache!

Lindasa - all you need is vodka and cranberry juice!

I used to drink vodka and orange juice but if I had too much I would throw up from the acid.  The great thing about the cranberry juice is that you can overdo it and not get sick to your stomach!

Cranberry juice is good for you even if mixed with vodka

Thank you for asking about my cousin.  I spoke with her yesterday and she is recovering from her surgery.  The doctor was able to resect the entire tumor with good margins.  woohoo!  She is still very weak and required a transfusion during surgery.  Hopefully, she will be released from the hospital in the next few days.  Also, the u/s endoscopy showed no cancer in the stomach and intestines ... so that was great news too.

Otter .. I love those baby otters.  Nothing like a nice nap on the beach in the warm sun!

I don't understand what's going on with the deletions either.  Maybe the rules have been changed or the mods are banning on a case by case basis.

Early to bed late to rise, morning all.  How can I possible have plain ole oatmeal when I've just read about an ice cream flavour ( to all my British friends) called Death by Chocolate, with Kahlua.  Could there really be something that wonderful.

Well, otter pups come darn close - doncha' just wanna cuddle them?  Just picturing an otter on it's back using a stone on it's belly to open an abalone, yum, yum, makes me smile, and now that I know they love naps, oh, this is love.

Yes, passed gallstones during chemotherapy thinking I just had bad gas pains. Doc said "either you do denial better than any patient I've ever had, or have a higher threshhold of pain then anyone we've ever seen."  I opted for denial.  Had to have all those tests, scans ( oooooh, didn't like feeling like I was gonna pee: my first scan) and being rolled into a garbage can, tasting dead fish.  Who designed these procedures????? So, acute pancreatitis, and was allowed to go home instead of hospital if I promised to drink only liquids for a week.

You guessed.  I promised.  So, 6 months after chemotherapy had gall bladder removed. And yes, they DO take it out through the belly button.  Thought for sure my surgeon has been smoking something when she told me how she was gonna do it.  Medicine can be strange, but thank God for it!  I can eat potato chips now

Athena, I gotta tell you it WAS funny.  I had no idea I had gallstones.  Never went to a doc when I lived in DC, except for mammograms, just too expensive!  The docs at Dana Farber were amazed I didn't know.  So when I flunked the blood tests for chemotherapy, my first infusion, they dshed me to those scans, whatever, to "rule out liver cancer."  Saying it was not probable, but possible - got the results about 5 seconds after I returned to 9th foor ( Breast Cancer in the older DF) and my doc walks in literally grinning from EAR TO EAR, "well, it's not liver cancer, but you've got a bursting gall bladder full of gallstones."

Well, Pooh would understand, the only words to suffice:  "OH BOTHER!"  I'm fine now, btw.
