Great Scan Results
Thought I'd bring some hope to the ibc group.
I'm so happy to be posting about the best results in the last 2 years. Diagnosed ibc with bone metastasis & 3.5cm idc tumor 6/09.
My scans have showed SUV values on lymph nodes and metabolic activity in spinal bone mets as well as ibc inflammation in the past. After a year being stable, I had a bi-lateral mastectomy with reconstruction to saline implants 1/11. Will swap these hard saline implants out for gel implants this summer.
7/11- New scan shows no metabolic activity anywhere and no lymph node involvement since I had surgery. Just shows healed bone lesions. Radiologist suggested re-staging, but I never heard of restaging after stage IV.
I'm thrilled and praying for all my ibc sisters. Wishing you all great results on treatment!
