    glad to change the subject.....what a damn shame....reminds me of the OJ Simpson trial.....all i can say is GUILT IS A GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING TO YOURSELF......she has to live with what she did...Karma is a bitch...Rest in Peace little darling girl Caylee..I just hope some jerk doesnt write a book or try to make a movie out of this.Into the fire goes that lying mother and that low life father of hers....i betta shut up and get off this puter before i start cursing like a trooper....

    Granny...The theoretical physicists decided, for now, to call Pluto a "dwarf planet."  Mind you, it's NOT a planet anymore...Instead, it's now referred to as a "dwarf planet."  You see the problem with theoretical physicists is that they need research physicists to "prove" their theories.  As far as I'm concerned, they're making things up as they go along.....and then they keep their fingers crossed that someone is going to come along and validate their theories.  And with those horoscopes...YIKES....Imagine how many divorces there are going to be if people believe in the astrological signs???  I mean, for goodness sake...I'm a Capricorn, or at least I THOUGHT I was a Capricorn because I was born on the cusp and I THOUGHT my husband and I were compatable because he was an Aries...Oy!......Then again, maybe it's a good thing that they changed the astrological signs because I'm not sure Capricorns and Aries get along well together.  Oh, well.

    ooops...granny..  I confused Chiron and Charon.  Charon is a moon of Pluto and Chiron, well, according to the criteria of planets...it isn't a planet either...It's more of a "dwarf planet" like Pluto....

    Yard Guard 30 minutes before you work in a space does wonders to drive the evil little creeps away. Then I light an incense and stick it in the ground near by,spray on some Herbal Armor and that is usually enough.

    sas-   There are only TWO things that I do know for sure about the subject and that is that Theoretical Physicis is NOT an EXACT science AND that physicists use mathematical equations to explain things that mere mortals, like myself, CAN NOTand WILL NOT EVER understand.

    Now I will tell you about the most practical thing I learned from a physicist....One of the greatest inventions has to be GPS.  I love the whole history behind it's discovery and use.  Anyway, I was also interested in HOW Mapquest came up with it's routes...  The mathematical formula figures out the longest road that needs to be taken to get to the destination and then plugs in backwards from there the patchwork of roads needed to get to the longest road and VOILA...it spits out your map!  Very interesting.  Have you hugged a physicist recently?  I mean, really, imagine how lost we'd all be without them!Kiss

    sas-schatzi, there are 2 main brands of mesh anti-bug clothing out there: "Bug Out" and "Buzz Off". Made by different manufacturers though AFAIK the "Bug Out" brand is the original and is supposedly the one used by the military as well as private users. I prefer the Bug Out garments for three reasons:

    (a) the BugOut mesh headcovering has black, rather than white, mesh in the section right in front of the face, which makes the mesh easier to see through. The Buzz Off brand products are all 100% white mesh everywhere

    (b) the BugOut pullover jacket and zippered headcover are all one garment. The BuzzOff brand only sells them as 2 separate items: a crewneck pullover and a separate headcover piece. The advantage to the 1-piecce garment is that if you don't need or want to cover your head at any particular time, you can unzip the front and arrange the headpiece mesh around your neck, which then protects that area from being bitten; when you remove the BuzzOff headpiece your neck is entirely exposed to bites

    (3) the BugOut pullover has a solid nylon zippered front pocket as well as two unzippered side pockets; the BuzzOff garment has only side pockets, nothing in front



    Another advantage to the BugOut brand is that the mesh itself will not degrade over time if it touches chemical skin coverings such as DEET products or even sunscreen. The BuzzOff brand mesh material does not have that advantage.



    The BugOut garments also comes in a dark (can't tell whether it is black or very dark green) mesh as well as white, which is apparantly an advantage for those who hunt and wear 'camo'. The BuzzOff stuff apparantly is only available in all-white.



    If you do a Google for 'Bug Out insect clothing' you'll get a number of online retailer results. There are other brands as well (Buzz Off, Bug Baffler, etc) but the big difference I see between them is the positioning of the headcovering: the other brands have the zipper along the bottom (neck/shoulders) whereas the Bug Out zipper runs from one side collarbone, over the top front of the head, and down the other side -- in other words it unzips along the line where the back (white area) and face (black area) meshes meet. So it's very easy to zip open just the face covering, to take a drink, talk on the phone, etc, without having to remove the entire thing. Very convenient!

    Okay.. Here is a confession. I don't have a sweet tooth. Usually. However, I enjoy a toasted brown, not burnt... Marshmallow. It has to be mushy when you bite past the warm brown crust, but in the middle still has a little bounce. I can't eat more than one...same with all kinds of sweets... Just a taste. So if I toast a few at a time... You are all welcome to enjoy the rest of my marshmallows on my skewer.

    sas, I don't find the BugOff mesh hot at all. Air moves right through it. Washes up like a breeze also, and hangs dry in no time as you'd expect from that kind of material.



    Toasted marshmallows, yum! The best ones I have found, btw, are the Whole Foods house brand ("365"). They come in the regular and the mini size. I can't stand the taste of the mainstream brands like Jet-Puffed ... to me they have a weird and yucky chemical-type "undertaste". I even tried the kosher brand (forget the name) in case the beef gelatin was the culprit but those tasted just as bad, in fact worse IMHO. The Whole Foods ones are awesome though. No high fructose corn syrup in them either.
