I was DX'd IBC in Aug '09.
Saw my PA a bit over a week ago - she ordered bone density scan and another nuclear bone scan (I've had arthritis in back for many years). Got the results this AM - NO METS - FANTASTIC! BUT - I now 'officially' have osteoporosis.
I'vee had 3 other 'issues' since DX that are probably related to TX - now have.gall stones (according to scans though have never had any problems). Keeping my K (potasisum) levels up to normal takes taking a mega dose daily. AND now osteoporosis. (Forgot to add - my thyroid has also decided to stop working recently.)

I was diagnosed 6/09 ibc with bone mets. On my first chemo, my gall stones starting acting up big time. They did not want to do surgery and I just take something similiar to Prilosec daily and have had no problems anymore.
