Oh-oh... here we go, and it's only July. A "collectible" cup for BC? <sigh>

Over at the bonfire of the goddesses thread we would be happy to help you throw the posters and all of the collectables in the fire. If you need a wheel barrel, we have one too. Boy oh boy is that fire going to get big... Wow!
-
Don't ya just love it?????!
-
I agree with voraciousreader. Let's take that damn poster over to the bonfire of the goddesses thread and throw it in. The bonfire needs some more fuel. It should burn big.
-
Oh don't even get me started on how much I hate loathe and despite the entire Pink Industry.
October is bad enough (and September merchandising leading up to it) but to have it start in July is just obscene. -
Don't miss next month's cup - Ebola!!
-
Staples has all kinds of pink and BC theme "back to school" items. I thought school just got out...
-
Back to School merchandise out already TOO? Jeez. What did they do, put it out at 12:01 am on July 5th? Talk about rushing the seasons.
Clearly we should expect Halloween costumes to pop up on shelves anytime after July 15th at this rate, and Thanksgiving stuff the day after Labor Day, LOL
Maybe the early-onset Back to School displays are meant to remind parents that there really is light at the end of the summer-vacation tunnel? ;-)
I always avoid Staples entirely after August 15th because someone told me once that that's when many schools/teachers send out their "materials lists"! -
I worked retail some years ago. The first Christmas items began arriving in June and were back shelved until Labor Day when all "h>>>" broke loose - turning the store into a winter wonderland. By the time Halloween arrived, I was so sick of Christmas that I could have screamed when a customer would come up and say something like - isn't this the cutest you have ever seen.

Nauseating.
"Jersey Mike’s Subs goes pink, launching a six-month fundraiser, “Mike’s Way to a Cure®,” benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. Starting in May, the multi-faceted initiative will run through October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month. "
“Jersey Mike’s partnership creates much needed awareness for breast cancer through their restaurants around the country, while raising funds for life-saving national research and educational programs,”
"Also, Jersey Mike’s goes pink by creating special Susan G. Komen for the Cure® sub wrapping paper and To Go bags."
More awareness. Why don't we all just tattoo a pink ribbon on our forehead? Kind of like in the old days with the scarlet A... we could brand ourselves with the "scarlet ribbon".
-
Remember Christmas in July sales??? And Marie317, I had to laugh with that "scarlet"/pink ribbon forehead idea
ALL of those cups need to be thrown into the bonfire!!!!
-
What the hell is the matter with them??!! God, Komen makes me ill. They've managed to turn themselves into a laughing stock. Do you think they realize they're a joke?
