XRay before RADS?

I just went for my first mapping for my RADS treatments.  I have to go back on Friday for an XRay?  I don't see anywhere here people having to also go for an x-ray after the CT mapping.  Is this normal practice or should I be worried about something?  THanks so much!

They did weekly xrays on me.  I was told they wanted to confirm the positioning of bones, to make sure they were aiming at the right place consistently.

Are you talking about a separate X-ray (a chest x-ray?) or...an image while you're on the table getting your rads?  During my rads, they would routinely take an image once a week (basically, they put some "film" there while they shot the regular rads).  In my case, I never needed a diff. kind of traditional x-ray after the simulation. Can you ask your RO's office what they are requesting and why?

Regular xrays ... before & weekly. They assured me that it was precautionary ...to make sure they zapped the correct tissue. ,

They took X-rays this morning right before they did my first treatment.  I think they said they would also be doing them weekly.

My x-rays are as peggy_j describes.  Yesterday, prior to rad #6 I got into "position" and had to lie there for about 45 min. without moving.  First, they x-rayed me, then shifted my position slightly, then marked me, and then did the rads.  I was told they'd do this after every 5 treatments.

I didn't realize you Rad's girls got so many xrays. Rad's wasn't part of my treatment plan.

I didn't realize I would be x-rayed that often but it's once every 5 days to make sure everything is lining up the way it's supposed to.

They did the same with me. It is a regular routine. I guess we just never discussed just discussed the redness and tenderness of how the area they are radiating affects our body. I hope you now find this information helpful. No need to worry.  Glad they are taking care of you.
