Thinking Out Loud.....

We went to the Country Fair and walked around, I bought a Patriotic Table Runner for my coffee table. We did sit for a while to listen to the concert it was nice. I just get irritated with the kids running a muck and the parents not giving a damn. Makes it difficult to listen to the concert with the screaming and chasing each other. If I ever did that as a kid, my mother would of given me the LOOK. Remember the LOOK when you were doing wrong, LOL

Glad you got to hear the concert, Deb.
I watched the 6th Harry Potter movie tonight. Reread book 7. Next up: 7th movie - which is the 1st half of the last book (if you don't follow Harry Potter). Getting ready for the grand finale.
Saw a news story on how our taxes just went up on July 1st. Feeling a little sick. Sales tax has gone up. They've taken away the $50 exemption on clothes. THAT sucks. Looked up the new - I don't even know what they are - withholding instructions? They're not really tables. What a convoluted mess. They have added tax rates and are phasing out the lower tax rate and they had to factor in some recapture, I believe to make up for the 1st half the the year being underwithheld. What a mess. Glad I don't work in payroll anymore. Not sure I want to live in CT anymore. Should move to North Dakota. I read there are jobs there.

Sorry the kids are being difficult. I give up on trying to get my kids to do things most of the time - just don't have the energy to deal with it anymore.
Hope you have a good time, Sandy!
DD might have some friends over again today. Trying to get use out of this stupid basement that took so long to make useable before the kids are grown and don't even live here anymore.
Hope everyone is enjoying the day!

omg - a year later and it MIGHT be overwith. DD and I both had PT last year - I after having a bunionectomy and she from a sore back - probably from carrying a 30 lb backpack on her back all day at, to, and from school. Anyway - hospital was billing more than insurance company said I owed - although it was hard to determine how much I owed since they had quadruple billed me initially with only one being denied as a duplicate. So I called a year ago June questioning it and they said one was right, the others were wrong and they had to get the money back. So for the rest of the year, I saw money going back into my HRA and FSA accounts, but couldn't really tell what they were doing. What a mess. They even reprocessed a claim from last March in March of THIS year- charging more money! AND on top of all that - they were charging way more than I have paid in the past. I had PT for my back in 2006 and paid $74.75 for each visit. DD had PT for her knee and we paid $74.75 per visit. Now we're being charged anywhere from $150 to $350. No one would look into why the charges were so high. There is absolutely no control. They can bill for anything. Problem is - this isn't an HMO where insurance is paying so who cares what they pay - this is crappy insurance with a high deductible and high copays.
So after a year of phone calls - and they even had the nerve to send me to a collection agency for one of the bills - they decided to take what I said the insurance company said I owed. I'm not happy about how much I was charged and I believe I was grossly overcharged, but at least it is overwith.
So, my advice - find out how much they will be charging for PT before you have it done. I didn't get any claim statements until I was done. If I had had ANY idea they were going to charge that much, I would have gone only a few times - found out what exercises to do and then done them on my own and stopped going.

On a brighter note, I had my carpets cleaned - finally. They're wet though. Guy warned me that going from carpet to floor can be slippery. I told DD and she promptly went into the bathroom and slipped (just slipped, didn't fall). I told her she needed to be careful - I can't afford any more physical therapy! And ironically, I was on the phone with the insurance company at the time. lol
