Supraclavical and suboccipital lymph node
Help and I'm a little worried. Small lump in sub occipital lymph node on back of neck. Breast surgeon did an ultrasound on it and said it looks like a normal lymph node just doing it's job. Tender to touch and also tender in supraclavical area but when checked by surgeon and onc, they feel nothing. Been on antibiotics for 10 days for lump is still there. It's very small but worrisome. Not sure what to do next but I am so worried. Any advice?????? Why does this have to be so scary. I'm also having numbness in my arm and all this is happening on the opposite side of where my original cancer was. I'm trying so hard not to worry but I can't seem to help it. My onc keeps saying that neck cancers are so rare in recurrence from breast cancer. Yet every time I look I see it again and again.......Has anyone else had this happen to them.

Mine is in right above clavicle.
-
sharalou, is yours painful?
-
Mine is running along the clavicle on both sides.
Realized that the numbness in my arm was from tension - my shoulders and neck are so tight that I have to remind myself to relax them throughout the day.

Hi, I know the worrying feeling. I've just had a reacurrance of TNBC in my lymph nodes, i had 18 removed and 10 of them were positive. i have since found a lump at the front of my neck which i haven't been back the hospital with yet. I'm worrying myself stupid that its going to be more cancer! I'm just in the process of having more chemo and radio, i don't actually start my chemo for about 4 weeks as they have said i can have my holiday first. But now i'm so scared that this lump in my neck with cancer and change everything. I also get numbness in my arm which i've been getting since before i had my lymph nodes taken out.

I have some puffyness right above my collar bone on the same side as my mastectomy. They did a ct scan...dr. said it's just fat,..."you've gained a lot of weight!!!!" yes I smacked him! LOL
Get it checked out for your own peace of mind. Could be nothing but if it is something you'll want to know so you'll know what to do next.
Hoping for the Best
Blessings and Hugs
Jean
