Update on test & news on Social Security disability
Hi Sisters,
I have some great news! I got a call today from Social Security and I have been approved for disability and it took me 3 months to get approve. If any of you want to know how I did it PM me and I'll be happy to tell you what I did. To make a long story short my ex husband divorce me a year and half ago for another woman and took me off of everything. I had a job that did not pay good ($8.25 hr) with no insurance and once I was dx with cancer they let me go. So now I will be able to keep my home and pay my bills. Please understand what a relief this is for me. God took care of me!!!!!
I got my results back from my PET scan/CT and the tumor is strinking but the cancer in the lymph nodes has gone up. Not good but it hasn't spread within my body. I will continue with my aggressive treatments and have radiation treatments M-F for the next 4 weeks. I can do it and I will do it. I am fighting this cancer with all my heart. I will keep you posted on how I am doing with all of my treatments. Also I want to thank you all for you love, prayers and support. YOU ARE WONDERFUL!!!!!
Hugs always,
Deb.

(((((((hugs)))))) My thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm glad that you got approved for disability. It eases some of the stress. I'm currently waiting on a response from my disability application. I've applied due to gastroparesis, and not my breast cancer. And its sooooooo nerve racking and stressfull wondering how I'm going to pay bills. Due to health-nausea/vomiting after eating,, I can only work a few hours a day while I fast from night before.

With all the bad that you've been dealing with this news has to have you on cloud nine! Great for you!
Those 4 weeks will pass quickly - at least they did for me. If the burn gets bad at the end then ask for silvadiene. I couldn't believe how quickly my skin healed once I started using that stuff!

Congratulations on the SSDI...I'm so happy for you, what a load off your mind! God is good, he will be there for you with the rest of your tx also. Keep the faith and let us know how things go. Hugs and prayers going your way.

Deb,
Great news about the SS! I'm in the process of applying now so I may be PMing you soon to get your expert advice! I hope that if I am eligible it might allow my hubby to stop working so much (he's a Police Officer).
Keep on keepin on Deb! We'll be here to cheer you on!
Sharon
