I am just curious at what point did you return to work after BMX?  Did you work through Chemo/RADS?  I live alone and am solely dependent on myself financially and I am just curious what path you took.  I know every case and individual are different but I'd love to hear from you.

Sorry no one has responded thus far. I haven't had a MX at all, maybe there is someone else that can help...

hey divamusic, i did not have a bmx, but i had a lumpectomy and am going thru chemo now.  i am on FMLA which is like a short term disability.  what i do is take 5 days off after chemo and then go back to work for 2 wks, then repeat.  i think labor laws are different in every state, but in NY i get paid 60% of my salary when i am on disability.

make sure you talk to HR and read employee handbook to understand rules.  good luck!

I had a bilateral MRM and was ready to go back to work afte 2 weeks.  I ended up going out-of-town to MDA for rads so I didn;t go back to work until that was done.

I had my BMX on Thursday and I am back to work today.  Granted, I am a marketing manager and have VPN/work from home access.  I plan on going back into the office next week for a few hours in the morning and working from home in the afternoons.

I don't know my follow up treatment yet, but I expect if I have chemo that I will have a similar schedule (working from home when I am not feeling well or unable to make it into the office).  I might be going back sooner than others, but one of the main reasons is that I just took this job 6 months ago, so I am trying to maintain visibility and build my reputation.  Lucklily, my boss is extremely understanding and is providing some cover for me while I go through this.
