I took out steaks from the freezer for tonight and now DH left to go bike riding up Millcreek Canyon and informed me he isn't going to want to eat dinner tonight. No problem.....now I don't have to cook!

Changing the subject: Ladies rule! Inglorious, the only filly in a race of 17 entrants, just won the Queen's Plate (for all our Cdn sisters!).
-
Awesome! I know zilch about horse racing, but awesome nonetheless.
Hey, I went to a political event this afternoon for my U.S. senator - a woman - who brought some of the other women in the Senate in to meet with supporters. The quote of the day award goes to Sen. Kay Hagan from North Carolina, who said: "You know, I've been in the Senate for two and a half years now, and I've learned there are two kinds of people there. There are the ones who are always looking in the mirror and fussing with their hair and makeup . . . and then there are the women."

Yay for Inglorious!
Linda .. I love that quote. It's so true isn't it!

Fourth Season starts tonight! Can't decide if I want Eric or Bill to cure me.....If only. LOL!
-
Duh, forgive my ignorance but I only watch news, Law and Order SVU and occasional movies so what is this show?
Oops and Supernatural.
-
I love True Blood, but I don't have HBO anymore. It was my favorite show. Did Sooki marry the vampire guy?

I just had another post reported. I don't know what's going on. I had hoped that the reporters had their hands tied. But I guess there are a few of them out there still reporting people. What a sad state of affairs. I'm getting sick of it.
Bren
-
Bren - what did you say that deserved reporting?
-
Sue .. it was the note about the copy of the hateful PM I received. I also noticed that Blue had 3 or 4 deleted by the community. What a mess.
Bren
-
(((( Blue )))) The happy trigger fingers really have gone too far.
Bren
-
Yep, mine was removed too!
-
Sheesh. Maybe removing the report post option will start to stave off the reporters. Interesting that one poster on another thread no longer had the report option.
-
Some people can't stand having the truth come out to play.
-
I just got reported again. That's twice in the last 10 minutes.
Maybe it's time to call it day. Be interesting to see how many more 'reports' I get. I need to stay away from the Alt forum. No good can come of posting over there, even if my chaps do get chafed.

Everytime this happens there is a posting from a person who then always says she is not going to post here again - everytime I see her posting I get the urge to warn all of you by yelling INCOMING!!!!!

Sock puppets!!!!
-
Surely, the moderators will finally do somethng about these trigger happy sockpuppets. I'll be writing to them again to get you reinstated Blue!!!
-
Just wrote and asked them to get rid of the trouble makers once and for all - fingers crossed!!!
-
Don't hold your breath Sue.

The same people have been doing it for years. I guess they just cannot let go of old grudges. Or else they get bored and think it's a fun game. Who knows.
Edited to add: What Barbara said ... this has been going on for years. The same people who not only deny reporting posts but also accuse others of doing so have been caught redhanded as the reporters. Those nasty PMs sent to a new member trying to turn her against other members have been outed with the names of the senders. And still ... it continues.
-
Maybe this is just a form of entertainment -- not saying for whom, incidentally. But there must be better ways to get your jollies, hmmmmm?
-
Pretty sick way to get ones's jollies IMHO.
-
Maybe they need more emoticons to play with
-
Pretty sick form of entertainment if you ask me reporting people.
-
How about like and dislike buttons and take away the report post option?
-
BarbaraA that is a good idea, but not sure it would work if they are trying to mess things up which it kinda looks like they are.
-
And of course because I mentioned the caught redhanded stuff ... my post has been reported and they are busily trying to get the information off of here. Surprise, surprise.
-
Sorry Blue - can't believe it happened again to you (((((Blue))))))
BinVa - hope you are able to hang on until Monday. The way it is going you might be joining Blue.
I hate it that people who are direct and tell it like it is are the ones that keep getting reported. WTF???? I have only been reported twice but still it bothered me so much that I stayed off the board for a week and then am having to review every single freaking reply to make sure I don't get banned. I HATE THIS!
-
As someone who has been lurking on this thread and the other I can say I really enjoy the light hearted humor of the women on this board as opposed the the alternative. I've been sitting here all weekend alone on and off the boards wanting to chat with people but afraid to open my mouth in fear of being reported then ultimately banned. Because I am single and live alone, I have days and nights that are very lonely and coming here usually brings me comfort. I love reading Blue's posts..her humor reminds me of KK who I know everyone is broken hearted over losing..along with all the others these past few weeks. I sent an email to the mods last night stating how I thought some people were harmful to the threads but I don't report anyone because I know not everyone is going to have the same opinion as me (how boring would the world be if we couldn't have thoughtful debates) and I believe sometimes people say things cause they are in a bad place. I definitely have no respect for those hiding behind multiple ids (except when you've been banned) and lurking on threads they claim to dispise or have no use for. I am not sure I have figured out who all the trouble makers are (PMs welcomed)
I just feel like we are all in different places in our journey and I appreciate those who've come before me and have bits of wisdom and humor to offer me. I appreciate and respect each forum and feel like it's time the mods took charge of the silly nonsense that has taken over certain topics. I feel like no forum is safe once you are targeting for reporting.
Just MHO...but I do thank you ladies on this thread for making me smile in the last few days when I wasn't sure I had one in me.
