LIFE'S A BEACH!

Hi faithroad, I'm not very techie but I should try to find you some welcome to the beach flip flops. Be back!
-
oops-sorry for the duplication.
-
SoCaLisa - We saw one of those trees in the Alice Keck Park in Santa Barbara in March! But we didn't know the name - only that it was so unique. Went hunting for pictures and found that this is an Australian Tea Tree. We've used the oil for several years - for it's antiseptic, antifungal, antiviral, antibacterial properties. Thanks for the lesson in tree identification!
-
Eph - really, really laughing out loud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Roses are blooming, hopefully you will all have time to soak up the sunshine, hear the rythms of the waves and take time to stop and smell the roses!!
-
Eph - I made this in Photoshop.
It is not nearly as hilarious as your photos....I want some of those socks!!!!!
-
-
Sand sculpture contest today.
-
2hands4me..thanks for the input on the trees...who knew?
-
SoCalLisa - very interesting, narley, twisty tree photo. Austrailian Tea Tree. Thanks for sharing that!
-
Glad someone found out what that tree was. I really think they are interesting looking trees.
-
faithroad, welcome!!! we love newbies to our beach site. not that eph's flip flops weren't wonderful (if the legs were a little wooden!!) but I found a few pair lurking in my room that were not my size, so I offer them to you ...hopefully one pair will be your color!!
and after you pick the perfect pair, please join me on my beach, which is on the Delaware Bay in New Jersey ... we have a site at a campground there and get to see some pretty awesome sunsets. I'm not there this weekend, so it's good for me to post one of my pics to remind me what I'm missing
-
Not sure why these shots disapear sometimes.
-
Here is another one I absolutley love.
-
I like that relazed one too, Mum. When would it have been taking though? After the service they left the church....
-
We were lucky no other weddings that day so we were able to return for more photos.
-
The beauties of the wedding.
-
Mum - your daughter is so beautyful.
Today is when I realize I over did things yesterday! I can hardly move today with out hurting. Even typong is difficult. I think church is out for this morning as I am so tired I can hardly say awake. And if I take any more pain meds I will out for the count. I keep falling asleep every time I get still for half a second. Hope everyone has a good day, I'll probably stop by again tonight.
-
hahahahahahaha, that is one pissed off flower girl!! hehehehehee

Fellow sister-of-the-couch at Uncle Bills!!!
-
((( Amyjo)))) Its Sunday you are allowed to just go back to bed.
My niece's daughter refused to carry the basket of rose petals. She was not impressed with the whole wedding idea.
-
marlegal - thanks for the welcome and colorful flip flops!!! I'll take the teal blue pair in the middle and meet you at your beach for one of those amazing sunsets!!! You'll recognize me by the socks I got from Eph and flip flops I got from you... pretty snazzy looking!!!
Mum - your daughter is truly beautiful.
amyjo - sorry you overdid yesterday, hope it was for something fun. Some days are just made for resting....a time to recharge your batteries. Hope you have a relaxing day! (( hugs ))
-
Faith, just noticed your city ... love it!!! I finished my tamox/aromasin therapy a week or so ago and was hoping that 6 yrs of hot flashes and night sweats might back off, but not yet. I'm banking on the fact the drugs are still in my system, and that when they get alllll flushed out, those symptoms will begin to fade. Leave me to my illusions if you have evidence to the contrary!!!
-
I did get some rest today, I finally woke up at 2:15p.m.! Guess I really was tired. I went to the mall and got a pair of Crocs and got home and they were the wrong size. So tomorrow I will have to take them back and exchange them. My hands and feet were bothering me so I did not take them back today instead I took a nap. DH got home from camp around 6:00 and fixed me dinner since he thought a hot dog was not enough for me to have eaten today. At least I ate something. Hope everyone has enjoyed today.
-
amyjjo, my feet were horrid yesterday as well, I wish I could take more than
the two Lyrica I take for neuropathy..I was on my feet most of the day to get
ready for a pool/party BBQ here last night..then by the time I got to bed, I couldn't
sleep at all..up early today for tennis..luckily we didn't play long. The good thing is
the pool area and house are now all straightened up for the week...

faithroad!!! welcome to the beach!!!! I'm glad that you found us over here, hanging out doing all sorts of beachie nonsense. I'm especially glad that you were given several pair of our traditional welcome wagon gift: flip flops!
We may be confusing to folks, with me having sort of evolved into Faithie as a nick-name and you being faith as well. LOL. We could call you "Roadie". We'll just keep people on their toes.
You'll find we have quite a few 'photographers' here, some truly amazing in their capability and some others, like myself, who learn from the masters in our midst. Several folks are kind enough to search/google and share images from the wider world.
In any case, welcome again.
2hands4me..... now my memory is especially Swiss-cheesy. I know that we've met on a couple of other threads, but for the life of me, I can't remember if you've been to our beach before?? I don't know if you've gotten your flip-flops?? There seem to be several pair available.
Hope that you both select this thread as a favorite -- so you can find your way back here. The more you splash around with our 'regulars' I think the more fun you'll have!!
We are known for throwing parties, for no reason in particular, but we always have great festivities for the 'biggies' -- people's birthdays, hitting page number milestones (just scroll back a few pages and you'll see all of our shannanigans for when we hit #700!!)
Better post.

This is my weekend for serious heavy-duty 'work' (which some would think looks a lot like play.)
In one week's time I am scheduled to give 14 Library Concerts. I have now accomplished the first three on the docket, leaving only 11 more to go between now and Thurs night! LOL.
We've had such a good turn out at these first few. This morning I started out in a branch library out in the middle of NO-where in a corn field. We are now safely to destination #2 for the day, which is in a VERY small town.
We are in a little coffee shop that also has the village flowers, helium balloons and WIFI!!!
Today are all of the 'out-lying branches. Tomorrow is downtown.
Mum. I LOVED seeing the candid of bride and groom on the steps. Don't know if it was 'posed' somewhat, but just delightful. No kidding. I'm happy to see as many shots as you're willing to share. And the flower girl! Loved seeing the beauty gals.
Amy Jo. Hope that you've got some more energy. Resting is so medicinal. After I go on one of my big harrang's of using energy, then I always schedule a day or two to sit on the couch and just play on the internet.
Chabba. I'm so glad you share your surroundings with us. It's amazing to see the 'natural world'.
Mar. How often are you able to get to your real beach? Oh, and how is your home project coming along? Have they finished up the work.
Carolyn. Thanks for sharing your roses.
Lisa. Your beach shots are always breath-taking. I live vicariously through the shots that you share. Keep 'em coming. I'd love to see any of your other European pics, if you have any other images to share.
Better go get myself organized for this afternoon's fun.
Hugs to everyone. Shouldn't start naming folks individually. Don't mean to leave out the rest of you. Know that I appreciate each & everyone who splashes along.
