Fatigue from radiation

Does anyone have suggestions that will help w/fatigue from radiation?  My daughter had WBR 6/10 and SRS in 4/11 (2 different sessions of SRS).  She is SO fatigued.  I don't know why they can't give somethng for that b/c they give people who don't have cancer drugs to pep them up!  Any suggestions other than rest/sleep when tired and try to walk some?  My best to you all

    Finished Rads on June 14th............Fatigue set in then.........nothing as serious as your daughter, but it hit me all of a sudden...................lots of water, rest, rest, rest, I was told after about 2 weeks to 1 months it will improve........................in addition I have Lymphedema, so its double trouble.  Just rest and sleep it off..................

    Joyce : have her eat lots of protein that gives your body more energy to heal and also makes you feel better - lots and lots of water too!  If she hasn't seen a nutrionist (part of my treatment) on the first page of the June 2011 Rad forum, I copied the nutritionist's  food list she gave me... I have waves of tired but still working through my treatment - I'm on 19/28..
