It's three years today today since I found a lump.

I read somewhere that a BC lump felt like 'a lump of carrot  stuck to your chest' and I knew that it was BC. Everyone kept telling me that 'it would be nothing' but I knew.

A  hard year followed - surgery, chemo and rads.

But here I am 3 years on. I made huge changes to my life and am enjoying myself.

Before BC I had a job that I loved and had worked for nearly 27 years. I never envisaged  retirement, but BC changed my view of the world. I took early retirement, and haven't looked back.

Life is good and I make the most of it. Rarely come on here now but just wanted to show people that life will be good again.

good for you, sweetie.  I am 3 years out from 2nd bout, and yes, life is what you make of it.

    It rains on everyone, right?

I always think that we all have a fatal disease called life.  No one's getting out alive, but we don't walk around saying we have survivied 50 years or whatever.  It's just life.

I figure I' m a veteran, chose that over survivor.  I fought a war, I won, I have scars and I sometimes like to talk with other vets.

Thank you for posting what I believe to be the key to gettin' thru it.  Don't look back, no regrets and gratitude.

    xoxo
