I would certainly have it rechecked.  Is there any chance what you're seeing/feeling has to do with your thyroid gland?  Sometimes bc and thyroid dysfunction go hand-in-hand.     Deanna

My supraclavicular nodes were off to the left side, right above my collarbone, and felt hard, but less than 1 cm.  I'm not sure there are nodes in the location you've described - so having the thyroid checked is a good idea.  But I would bring it to your MO's attention also, just to be sure.

thanks deanna, i wondered if it was muscle or thyroid just it feels different from other side but the swelling isnt hard but have looked on internet if thyroid dysfunction and breast cancer could be connected and could not find anything .

thanks suze35, hope you are well now , i know my breast care nurse examines side of neck and across collar bone but other ones just concentrate on collar bone , the swelling isnt rock hard but did see somewhere there are nodes all over neck so was just worried as so many of us hope we dont get recurrence .

Check out the thread here called Iodine, Thyroid & Breast Cancer.  (Use search feature to upper right to find it.)

What you're describing sounds a lot like a thyroid goiter or nodule.  I had one years ago, and thought for the longest time it was a more developed muscle on that side from playing tennis.

OTOH, definitely get it checked out ASAP.    Deanna
