    Hey ,

    I love the port on the x-mas tree!!!

    I never thought to keep it. You know I wish I would have, it does look like a purple heart!!!

    Did  alot of you keep your ports, like a metal of honor, thats coollllllllllllllll

    Reading your notes, it is clearly the consensus to deport. I'm surprised cause it took me months to stop feeling the newness and irritation. So I would keep it as long as possible to avoid a new one. But, 10 years ago, maybe it would have been on my Xmas tree!

    K-lo,

    I hope this post has not offended you in anyway, I guess i am just taking anything I can get right now to make me feel normal. Believe me I know  the reality of cancer. the fact that they  will never tell us we are cured. I took this port out because I needed to do this for myself f to move forward for now. Nobody know's what our future holds, except God, thats my thoughts. I just take one day at a time, like everybody else. I am praying that i will never need one again. You will also be in my prayers as well!!

    lol at sherri's comment! i love that.

    my father keeps his first defibrillator in its velvet pouch..looks like an oversize silver lighter. i doubt a port looks as clean and neat.

    Hey Kathleen196, I need to wear a compression sleeve too and love your explanation to people.  I need to think up one for myself.  I don't wear mine everyday so I haven't had anyone ask me about it yet, but they do look at it.  I wonder if they think we could have burned in a fire or something?
