Yesterday I swelled up really bad. The worse I have seen. I was using my sleeve and glove in the daytime and at night wrapping. They took blood and no infection. Went to physo and getting help there and she is going to wrap for me as I am left handed and le in left hand. My dear hubby used to do it but he passed away 4 months ago. I will get this under control. le hugs jinky

Oh Jinky, I'm so sorry about your husband, and sorry that the LE got so bad--it's good you went to the ER and got some help.

My LE is in my left hand and I'm left handed also. Takes some getting used to for the wrapping.

Let us know how you're doing.

Jinky, yikes! Flares are so alarming, such a panicky feeling.Frown Hope the wrap is feeling good and everything will soon be back in control. Was the swelling weather-related, do you think?

    Be well!

Jinky--I am so sorry about your husband.  I hope you get your swelling controlled soon.  I am right handed and LE is in right arm so wrapping is very laborious and slow for me.  Glad you found someone to help.  Becky

Wrapping is not taking my hand down and I was at the doctor last night and he said advanced arthritis is keeping the le going. I knew this as this is what happened before. My sed rate is only up to 35. I have been on 2 celebex a day for 8 days instead of the 1 I usually take. He said give it more time. Can't take  indo because oh heart burn. The pain in my wrist  compares next to childbirth honestly. Gave me ty# 3. I am not going to give up  It is unbelieveable.

Shannon at the hospital wants to try something else. I am willing to try anything. I am not a quitter but I almost cried over this but I know the LORD is going to help me. le hugs jinky

Thank you everyone. Today my arm is back to my normal. yeah!!!!! Now just my hand  and I had to get tylenol # 3 for the pain. Advanced arthritis. The 2 celebrex should kick in soon.

Jinky, just FYI--celebrex can cause peripheral edema. It's a COX-2 inhibitor, vs. a typical non-steroidal, so hypothetically it's easier on your stomach, but it's notorious for causing swelling.

    Always something...

Jinky, I've been sitting around feeling sorry for myself these past couple days.  After reading your posts I felt ashamed of myself.  Really.  I am pulling for you and hope your physical pain will be relieved soon.  Big hugs to you and your spirit.  And so sorry about your husband.  Please continue to let us know how things are coming along.

HI Girls, Well went to doctor ( new(surgeon) today and I am getting a us instead of mammo this year. Would like me to keep having mammos becaused she thinks they are better than us.She sees patients where the cancer has come back in their skin. I have a year to think about it.

Shannon gave me a soft pad with very light soft chips and it does work on the hand under the glove. Tomorrow I will see if it will work with the sleeve on as wrapping my hand and wearing my sleeve pools it in the hand. She wont be back till Monday and if it continue works I want some. Will keep you up to date.

Hey, Jinky, you can tell your new doc that my US found not only the cancerous tumor but 3 benign spots plus a cyst. That's after a CLEAR mammo and on a breast at age 57 (so unlikely to have dense breasts!) Mammos are far from perfect.

    All the best.

Oh Jinky--I wish I knew how I could help!  Hang in there.  Maybe you will feel better once the antiobiotic kicks in.  Take it easy, rest.  Becky
