My Fellow Deletees and The Cyberbullied Sisters

I missed that part, nurse-ann. I agree, that's not right -- especially deleting the evidence of it. Still, this all supports the need for transparency about who is reporting posts, in my opinion.
-
apple, I got caught up in the dispute on the "Update" thread, too. I followed the posts there for quite while and thought about it a lot before clicking "Report" on two of the posts. I pulled up the Rules of Conduct and re-read them, just to be sure of my reasoning. Like Ann, I'm sorry if I meddled in something the Stage IV members were handling their own way. It just seemed like deja vu to me (Re: Bimmer) and I felt so bad for "Leprechaun". What was being said to, and about, him by that one person was just plain cruel. IMHO, of course; and I'll stay out of it next time, I promise.
OTOH, innocent posts are being reported willy-nilly in other threads today. Must be a weekend, eh?
otter
[Sorry -- I decided to delete my "edit". I was out of line.]
-
I guess so Otter .. it all seems so random on who is getting "reported" yesterday and today. I can't believe Member had a post reported. Geez ... she's never out of line on anything she writes.
And I remember Bimmer and Diane ... he got dealt a bad hand in that deal too.

I got reported myself yesterday. First time in the year I've been here.
-
not reported....but pm'd by what I can only assume is another "alias". Geez, some people.
ETA: just checked my e-mail...guess I was reported too.
-
well.. my opinion should not matter so much.. I just didn't like to see the phalanx gang up on someone. The posts should very well have been deleted .. they were disrespectful to our dear Yan. I just don't like the idea of a gang of five being so influential, especially if they are posting under alias.
please no offense anyone.. just take care... and I apologize if I made anyone feel uncomfortable. the way I see it we are all here for each other.. (and kind of hurting because Elizabeth is gone).
-
I got reported yesterday too. Boo hoo. At least I'm not getting any strange PM's.
Bren
-
apple, I agree with you, and must say you have been one of the most supportive people on BCO along with Beeze and otter this past year for me. I do agree we are all hurting at the loss of Elizabeth as well as several other long time friends over the last few months.
-
((((apple))))
You are right on all counts, IMHO, except for the part about having offended someone here. Your posts are so measured and considerate -- I can't imagine how anyone would be offended by something you said.
otter
-
Apple I agree with otter and Karen. Your posts are always supportive. Thevstupid deletions have to stop and the only way they will if by reporting to us who did the deleting.
-
Apple, In case you don't know who Karen is that's me! And I do so respect you!
-
Apple, I completely agree with everything you said -- except that your opinion should and does matter -- it matters very much to me, that's why I apologized (it was sincere!) and I agree with you about the ganging-up thing. Love, Ann

Random thoughts...
Lots of people get new names to post under.
Daisies are one of my favorite flowers
Brussel sprouts are yummy if you bake them
This site is for support not vendettas
-
I so agree it's for support. I can't even keep up with all the name changes.
-
Veggiegal .. how many screen names have you had?
I agree Kira .. it's hard to keep up with all the name changes.

This whole thing is getting ridiculous .. I just had another post reported. There is nothing wrong with the post, I checked the rules!
This is a copy of the email I received.
Hello BinVA,
Your post in the I say yes, you say no, OR People are Strange topic has been reported by another Breastcancer.org community member as a violation of the Community Rules.

Me too
Something's happening here, what it is ain't exactly clear..
Buffalo Springfield?
-
Oh you guys ... would you be shokked to hear that you are being accused of reporting your own posts so you can play the perpetual victim? As if!!! I can't believe the things some people come up with .....
-
That's an old, old argument. We've been there and done that! Wasn't true the last time and I don't think it's true this time.
-
Allison, you're right and I'd guarantee it's not true! It made me LOL though!
-
That's a 'rerun' angel ... we've heard it before. Strangely enough during that short time period when names did show up it proved that was not the case at all. Quite to the contrary.
-
Again, the "posing as victim" accusation could be confirmed or laid to rest by displaying the names of reporters. All of "us" have always asked for this, and are still asking for it!
-
Angel .. doesn't surprise me that that rumor would be flying around. It's so silly. Why would I report my own note. I'm an oldtimer, I like it here .. why would I risk getting banned. It's just so illogical.
Bren
-
Bunch of sock puppets is my guess. Surely a lesson about using your regular ID was learned the last time.
-
"And the beat goes on...." to quote that disco-era song.
Now, Bluedahlia has been banned for life by the system. TWENTY posts reported. ZERO rules broken.
Great system we have here.
-
I'm so discouraged. Nothing has changed or improved. People are still being deleted and banned today. The 'report comment' function is out of control. I wish the mods would do away with it altogether! We don't need it .. I don't care about the spammers anymore. Too many nice gals are being targeted.
Mods .. please help.
Bren
-
I agree wholeheartedly. So depressed.
-
Well .. I got reported, yet again. It's getting old and tiresome.
Mods .. please take away the "report" function. I don't care who is reporting me .. I just want it to stop.
Thanks,
Bren

These attacks on innocent posts are out of control and I for one am sick and tired of it.
-
Barbara, I agree they are way out of control.
