Check yer bOObs
Hey everyone! My wife walked 23 miles in our local Relay for Life here in Salinas. I have a hard time walking long distances thanks to chronic bursitis so in order to support the cause, I wrote and recorded a piece called "I like bOObs" and put it up on You Tube,
I'm trying to promote a little breast cancer awareness and I knew that this topic would get some hits given the nature of the subject. I've been told that it's a bit racey but when I considered how sadly ashamed some women are of their own bodies I took the complaints with a grain of salt. Please have a listen and remember to Check yer bOObs!
It's creaming my Prostate Cancer video called Give em all the finger. Guys are a little harder to reach apparently.
Thanks! Neil

Hey MUd, don't advertise it here, we've ALL checked our boobs. We ALL have cancer!
-
Hey now, the idea is to promote awareness not poke fun at anyone going through the ordeal. Breast cancer has killed four people in my life and if I can get at least one person male or female to check themselves I will have made at least a little bit of a difference. Raising public awareness also raises the donations so I will do what i can to bring attention to this issue.

I don't get the connection to breast cancer between non stop pictures of well endowed women showing only their breasts as someone keeps singing about how much they like boobs. I think it is safe to say that the women pictured in your video are not the ones "sadly ashamed of their bodies" No scars, no mastectomy incisions, no lymhedema sleeves. No breast prosthesis, no radiation changes, no chemo ports, no bald heads. So not our reality. As Barbe mentioned we're all very aware of breast cancer. Its actually not our breasts we're worried about here, its our lives. Perhaps you'll get a different perspective from women who've never had to deal with breast cancer.
But, tell your wife thanks

Fine, you know what, forget I ever even bothered. You folks go ahead and do whatever it is that you are going to do. Sex sells and I was merely attempting to utilize that simple fact to get some attention for the issue. Don't patronize me about the effects of cancer as I have lost more than just a couple of family members to it. I'm well aware of what the last months are like for someone suffering stage IV Pancreatic Cancer, Breast Cancer and Colon Cancer. I'll end this thread by saying that the rest of the world does not view life from your perspective. If you are all hell bent on shooting down someone who is trying to help just because you don't personally approve of the message I will simply disappear and let you get back to your nice G rated world. Good day.

Edited. I should say, "misguided."
Losing my "boobs" (how I hate that girly word) was the only GOOD thing about BC for me.
The X rated aspect is not the issue for me, personally. The issue is that what's bad about BC are the rather less sexy parts of the body, like the brain, lungs and liver - NOT the breasts. No one dies because their breats have cancer. They die because breast cancer is elsewhere.
-
Wow...my G rated world. If you truly want to get the message out there, why not show how women look after mastectomy? After lumpectomy? Sorry we are not as "sexy" as your video wants, but we are the reality of this effing disease.
