Dang it, leisa! You beat me to it! I was going to say a hair, too, so I'll change it to......
a blade of grass.

See how bad at this I am Elimar? I didn't see that the cinnamon roll was anyone til Barbe asked. Of course I see Mother Theresa now.

Suebak-Welcome to the thread just hate that you had to join us. We are very similar. I turned 48 last June and was diag with IDC in Sept. The last year has been a whirlwind and tomorrow is my birthday and I'll be 49. I too did radation but did my at the end of the day. I had a 50 minute drive to the clinic so by the time I got home I was exhausted. At about my 3rd week of radiation the poor pittiful me hit. I had a girlfriend who was over that day and I just could not stop crying and it was Christmas Eve. Give yourself plenty of time to rest, it will do wonders for your emotions. Just try to lay around and not do much on the weekends. Everything can wait until you are finished with rads.

I am going to guess a Rose petal
I have been one busy girl today. I put up 28 pints of pickled Okra-my DH's favorite. Then 20 pints of B-B-Q sauce and 4 pints of cream peas that I had to shell. I have black eyed peas to shell tomorrow. Will probably get 4 pints out of those as well. I also have some white scalloped squash to freeze. And fit father's day in there somewhere. Had to get it all done because next weekend I am going to see my youngest son and family. So I will be busy with my granddaughter.

Skin of a fruit? I know somebody said an orange I'll go for a grapefruit...
-
Sherryc-dont forget to fit your bday in all that hoopla!
-
Welcome suebak ~ Don't worry about starting a pity party too early in the day, I have started a party for one way before 7:30.
I'm sorry you have to join us, but happy you have found us. I think you will like it here.
elimar ~ Peggy Lee !

Eph my inlaws are taking me to lunch for my bday so I will defiantly fit it in. Also I have to say my DH helped me alot today. I could not have gotten that much done without his help.
-
Congratulations Sherryc......you did it. It is indeed a rose petal. and here is the rose!
-
Happy Birthday Sherry!

-
Happy BDay, Sherry! Great job guessing a rose petal.
-
Happy Birthday Sherry!! can't believe how much canning you are doing!! I am impressed!! I wish I had the energy to even up a jar. . .
I was so sure that picture looked like the bottom of my foot--on a good day!! Rose petal, wow, and what a beautiful flower at that--I love that color of roses. Do you know the name of the variety?
Suebak--we are all here to be a part of your pity party--somedays it hard to figure it all out--but just know you are not alone--we are all here to listen and tell you, you are not alone. Let me pour you a morning mimosa!! And what's a Sunday brunch without chocolate covered strawberries
-
Hi Claire, sorry I don't know the variety....I took that photo ina garden I drive past each timeI go to the city to see my doc and one day the roses were so spectacular that I decided to stop and ask permission to photograph them.....the rest is history.....lol
Love n hugs. Chrissy

That's ok, I love roses, can't grow them for a hill of beans. I can kill them faster than any other plant. : ( But they sure are beautiful to look at--and one of the best smells ever!!
-
I have roses in my garden as well and I think they are the best flower out. I pick them and put them in the middle of my dinning room table and the smell wafts through the whole house......mmmmm....lovely!

Sherryc, Happy Birthday Happy Father's Day (Husband) Happy Father's Day (Your Dad)
and Congrats on your Big Win on the Weekend Mystery pic. Your turn next Sat.
-
Oh yeah, while you were cannning all those healthy vegetables, I was busy baking you a cake. Heard you liked chocolate. This one has a surprise marshmallow filling too. Extra gooey!
Don't mind the lower right of this cake, where I dug a little of the icing off. I thought you would not mind. With as many brothers as you have, I bet it happened to a lot of your cakes over the years.
-
Eli - I haven't had breakfast yet - a piece of cake and glass of milk sounds good.
-
Eggs, milk, flour... Chocolate cake for breakfast.
Daddy's great. He feeds us chocolate cake.... -
MMMM, sounds good, jo! But remember this is coming from a person who had to kick herself off the Eat Like A Bird (ELAB) thread, for failing to lose a "simple" five pounds.
That reminds me...Meece, oh Meece, where are you? I heard she went to see DIL and the new Grandbaby down in the wildfires of Arizona. Hope family is doing fine and all are safe.
-
Meece has a new grandson Patrick!! 8 lbs 13.5 oz. They had an evacuation scare but I think they dodged that. I hope I didn't ruin the news, but I know a lot of you are waiting to hear and she is busy out of town.....
-
She posted his pic on the Aweee thread.
-
I saw it on the Garden Thread! What a big boy!!
-
He's certainly an arm full!
-
Congrats to Meece on the new grandson. I bet that one will be spoiled by grandma!
-
Yes, she posted here too on page 395. Was just hoping all was well since the fires are still raging.
As if enough wasn't going on already today, we've hit our milestone of 400 PAGES. Woot-Woot!
Still a crazy tilt-o-whirl of topics...
