LIFE'S A BEACH!

Lisa - that does look really impressive. We have our flag fly in the breeze today, bt then weather permiting we ususally do have it out.
I got my front door repainted this morning so I am ready for a nap. I started early before it got too hot. I'll try to post a picture later. After it dries, I may need to do some touch up, then I'll take the picture. I am so relieved the taxes are done and I can get some of my other projects done.
-
Sunrise this morning in our little beach town.
Sunset last night.
-
Beautiful chabba! Always a joy to see.
Amy-Jo, you must feel SO much lighter getting your taxes done!! When you wake up tomorrow your first thought will be relief. My sister drags hers on too, why do you guys do that?? It seems like such a huge stress to add to the crap you already have going on!!!
-
The celebration of the USA flag day on the USS Midway was awesome
the colonial army was there
the Fife and Drum boys followed
Betsy Ross was there
and the children showed how the flag was designed
and what it all meant
And we all sang, "It's a Grand Old Flag" to end
lots of other stuff as well...just so much enthusiasm
this little boy was just sooooo cute..

Barbe - these were not my taxes, they were my Mom's taxes for her estate. My Dad died in 2009 and had not filed taxes for about 6 years, He said he did not have to after he turned 79. Long story short I had to file all of those and then when Mom dies last October I had to do hers as I am her executor. I do not understand why they did not file as they got money back for all those years. In Dad's case the refunds were paid with interest. There is a lot of extra paperwork when the taxpayor has died.
-
Just came in to say how much I love each & every one of you.

Strength and courage.

Lisa - looks like the celebration on the USS Midway was spectacular. Wish I could have gone with you.. The little drummer looks like his drum is as big as he is. He is a cutie.
-
Faith and everyone here: I love all of you also!
-

Chabba-Pretty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Chabba, tell me you took this one!!! I LOVE it!
-
Sorry barbe but it is another one from the paper. Last night's full moon. Our local weekly paper has an e-mail service that sends breaking news, mostly local, topics of local interest for comment and debate, high school sports and other local competitions, and photos by local photographers. A few of them are retired professional photographers, a few are artists.

Beautiful pictures beachies.
Seems like when one leaves our sistahood it makes me feel I should never take my BCO sistahs for granted. Just wanted to let each of you know I love and appreciate you all!!
-
I am so grateful to come to the beach.
This has been such a long week of WonderPeeps, 24/7, all by myself. Today I got very bold and took the 3 of them to the big public library for the first time. One adult and 3 peeps 5 and under is work -- especially now that all things potty is the theme for the Twinzees.
I'm thrilled to report that we made it to the library, got books, stopped thru McD's drive thru to have a picnic at a nature park..... where we then took a 'hike' out to a 'swamp' and I really made everyone's day. Eighty-eight trips to the potty later and the big news?????
We saw not one, but TWO RACCOONS!!!! I honest-to-goodness began to cry huge tears, but bit my upper lip and sucked in a lot of oxygen and promised I could have a good cry in the shower.
Of course our Coonie is fine, but just seeing the woodland creature made me think of everyone here and what we've lost and what we've found and how much we all mean to one another & what we've been through collectively and how much our beachie Sharon was able to reach out to our KK beach-lover and................ I don't suppose I need to say a whole lot more.
It was great to see you pop thru our dearie Cooniest.

If all goes according to plan I'm down to my last 48 hours, which is a good thing, because I have exhausted all the nearby metro parks etc etc.
-
Googala moogala.
I mean my last 48 hours of being full time Mary Poppins to the Wonder-est of the Wonders. They just have me out numbered on all flanks.
LOL
It's really the 3 dogs and 2 cats that are doing me in. The big dog "ate" their couch one morning while we were at the park. This is not an exaggeration. The entire over-stuffed arm of the couch is now completely under-stuffed.
Last night the kitten brought a small field mouse into the kitchen. The other night the big cat brought in a bird past prime, but not quite gone. You should have seen that fiasco. I just remembered to feed the fish today..............
Thank goodness the kids can remind me when they're hungry. LOL
The 2 snakes are on their own till Sunday morning. I'm not going there!!!!
-
Words cannot express all the love, encouragement and support all my BCO sisters have given me since the start of my journey. I love you all and so appreciate your just always being there for me and each other.
-
Love to all my beachies! Love you too AmyJo!
-
Hi AmyJo--I'm not sure that we've "met" before. You have a beautiful smile. So glad your beach-side
Hey Barbara!!!! You've got another pretty avatar!!
Faithie!!! I hope someone nominates you for "GeeGee of the Year" Award. You were very brave stepping out of the house with 3 kids 5 and under:) and I TOTALLY know what you're talking about with the dog eating the couch. When our youngest pup was a baby, he destroyed a leather couch we had. We came home to the leather being torn in shreds and white cotton scattered all over the floor. He had a BLAST!! And for years, he loved the taste of leather. We haven't had a leather couch since, but I don't think he would try to eat it now. Too much work and he's grown pretty lazy......LOLOL
Happy Friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
HAPPY FRIDAY!!
-
Thanks Coonie. Good to see you. Happy Friday back at 'cha Blondie1
-
Coonie - Don't remember meeting you before either so glad to meet you. Love the pic of the children running on the beach. Are they yours? Thanks for the compliment. DesignerMom is responsible for that particular smile.
-
Coonie..... isn't that funny? Your doggie ate the leather couch. This wing-ding leaves their leather couches completely alone, doesn't even sit there. But their inexpensive fake-suede, cheapie is another matter. Ding-dong has done damage to it on NUMEROUS times in the past and we have sewn seams back together or patched corners or various other make-do remedies.
This time he devoured this whole arm affair. Inside is a big block of thick foam and it is surrounded by the white cotton stuffing -- all of which has had the quasi-suede shredded beyond redemption. I have the whole thing covered by an afghan, so it won't be the very first thing they see upon returning home. LOL.
My hubby drives in very late tomorrow from WI. He is going to Saint's house tomorrow for sweet Molly's high school graduation party..... which will be a surprise to them. I am so happy that her husband Greg and my hubby are buddies. Greg just bought a motorcycle (which I know Pat is spitting her feathered wings over) and I'm sure in large part that's due to my guy having a big bike and our having so much fun together on it when they came north to spend the week. Pat did allow Molly to ride with my hubby everywhere we went.
I can't wait till everyone's back together again. We will then take off for KY for a summer teacher conference to celebrate Father's Day: LOL.
Hugs to all of our beachies.

I'm soooo behind due to limited access while renovations continue - who said it would be one week? Oh yeah, the contractor!! Week 5 begins Monday and if there is a God, which I know there is, it will be his last week here. Faith, again you captured in words what I feel in my heart about the value we hold to each other. And I wish I could be a fly on hte wall when DH and Greg get together for Miss Mol's party! I love seeing her pics on FB documenting this wonderful time in her life. What a bright light she is, and how our Pat must just be beaming and bragging to our other angel sisters
Coonie, I've missed reading your posts hon. I think of you everytime I use the word wondermous, which I do whenever I can. Lisa, those pictures from Flag Day were so very poignant, thank you. I lived in Yeadon, PA during high school, which is the home of the founder of Flag Day. They had such a grand celebration every year with parades and parties, it was a lot of fun. Chabba, I don't care where you get those pics, just keep 'em coming, they're wondermous
Hugs and love my dear, dear friends.
-
Mary, are you back to your computer?
-
you never know who will show up at the beach
-
-
Here is one I did not take, but isn't it wonderful
-
Love the wave!
You can tell a woman took the picture of the dancers. Note who got cut off at the edge.
-
Lisa - love the picture of the amazing wave curl. It is getting late so I am off to bed, hope everyone has a restful night.
