neoadjuvent seems to be working!
My ct scan showed that my tumor is 99% gone, the radiologist actually said 100% gone where the metal clip was placed at biopsy. My internal mammary nodes shrank from about 1-2 cm to 2-3 mm! This is after my 3rd ac with 3 more to go and then taxol, carbo. I said to my doc "you got to be fu....ing kidding me and he said, no, I am not fu.....ing kidding you. I covered my mouth because I was so embarrassed that I swore and we both laughed hysterically! Maybe there is something to this 24 hour ac drip that he is giving me! The whole doctors office seemed really happy with this news. I am not sure if it has sunk in with me yet!

That is wonderful news!! I am so happy that the AC is doing its job, search and destroy! I've used a few of those words myself, lol.

Awesome news! My Mom was just found to be TN BC and she's still debating neoadjuvant chemo or surgery first. I would imagine I'd say the same thing to the doc!

I had big success with my neo chemo as well - tumor went from 5cm down to a few mm... Congrats! it is a good feeling when you know its working.

That is great news and inspires me. I am starting neo-adjuvant chemo on Tuesday and hoping it goes well. Congratulations to you!

Best news ever....I had a very similar response to AC...I really really like that you are combining Taxol with carboplatin....kick some cancer a$$.
Oh, I just realized that you are doing 6 rounds of AC all together before surgery I think. That is EXACTLY what I wish I had done. AC was my cure. I should have had more. I think when we find what works in the neoadjuvant setting.....why not take a bit more to be sure we really killed the beast.
So very happy for you sister.

One thing about A, though, is that there is a maximum dose that docs consider safe for our hearts. Dosages are precribed based on frequency, so if you had 4 treatments at maximum dosage (as I had), it's the same overall as getting 6 doses of slightly less... and it's not a simple matter to tack on extra treatments.
