Where do you shop for mastectomy bras and breast forms?
Hi. I was wondering where you have had the most luck shopping for mastectomy bras, breast forms, etc. Do you go to a store or do you have more luck online? If you are going to a store what has your experience been like? If you shop online please let me know what sites you have had luck with. Thank you!!

[I deleted my post. Somebody else can deal with this. I'm too tired.]
[Edited again to add this: the O.P. contacted me this morning to explain why she asked the question in this thread and offered the advice she gave in her other threads. I'm afraid I scared her off by my snarky response last night, for which I am really sorry. My original reply was even worse than the one I left in my edited post. (Bad otter!) I've asked her to come back and post again, especially in the "Breast Prostheses and Reconstruction Alternatives" Forum. We can use all the help we can get over there. Also, her new-and-improved username, "Acaregiver", is a terrific clue to her connection to us.]

This is a very personal issue, and every woman has to figure out what works for her. But I can't imagine that online would work, at least in the beginning.
Personally, we are lucky to have a specialty mastectomy shop in our town; my daughter, who has different-sized breasts, shops there for her bras.
If you are not lucky enough to have a store like this, most of the more upscale department stores have specialists in this type of clothing in their lingerie departments. These ladies have been there, done that, and are super guides.
You may want to ask your breast cancer team. They probably know where the best shops are.

Thanks for the additional information, Otter.
I was a little concerned that this might be someone who was preparing to launch their online sales department here, so I emphasized the personal aspect of this issue.

I shop on line, prices are better, and larger selection, if one has Medicare they fill forms and one can get 7 in a year.
I don't like the" look" when they see me nude to measure.
This way I have privacy.

I like the prices at tlcdirect.org, which is affiliated with the American Cancer Society.
