Thanks Luan,
I just went to the link you gave for Dr. Oz' site to suggest show ideas. I asked that they do a show on Dr. Burzinski. If enough of us write I'm sure they'll do something. We can't just sit back.

Good Molly, a few of us already did. In my post, I warned Dr. Oz and his crew that I had asked my breast cancer sisters do the same, COUNTING GIRLS !!!!!
-
I sent in a request to Dr. Oz although I've never watch him
Perhaps I should. -
Evebarry, there is an episode on cancer this coming Thursday, today's topic: 'orgasm'....... I'm running so I don't miss it LoL !!

Painterly, I also recently went to the dentist and asked for the thyroid guard (thanks to Dr. Oz). They didn't have one, but said the digital Xray is not as strong as the old ones were. However, she did pull the lead skirt up to cover my thyroid as best as we could.
Luna5: Great summary about Dr. Oz. I feel the same way. I also DVR his show and skip the parts I don't care to watch, but certainly learn a lot from the topics that seem to be of interest.

This is introduced by Oprah on her radio show but Dr Oz interviews Dr B and Merola about the movie on 17th May 2011. It runs for 37 minutes.

Just a quick comment on the thyroid protector for X-Rays. I am a veterinarian and we have been wearing thyroid protectors while we take Xrays of animals for years! We have known that the thyroid gland is very sensitive to radiation. Many vet clinics have moved over to digital Xrays. My understanding is that digital machines actually emit MORE radiation than the "old fashioned " kind. In our profession the advantage is that usually we need to take less views because you can adjust the quality ( ie contrast) on the digital picture rather than having to change the machine settings and take another X-ray. Since we have to change our settings for each case ( one dog thorax can be 10cm while the next 20cm) we often need to adjust settings after looking at the first film. Digital for us means less Xrays taken therefor less radiation exposure but this is probably not true with dental Xrays as their settings are much more standardized.
Short of this, ALWAYS protect your thyroid

Thanks Joy, good radio interview. Some of the info was the same as the movie but I liked hearing his honesty and frankness about his clinical numbers.
