Seeing RO for the first time tomorrow...what to expect?

I don't know what it is about rads that has me all ticked off.  I've handled the rollercoaster of chemo, the fear of my first surgery ever - but rads?  Yeah, I'm hacked off about rads.

I think part of me is mad because the receptionist from rads walked over my paperwork to the chemo room while I was in the chair for my last TCH.  I didn't really get even a moment to be happy that I was done with chemo.

So I meet the RO tomorrow.  My paperwork says to plan for a 1-2 hour appt.  What on earth will we be doing for 1-2 hours?!  I'm thinking they're estimating a long appt, but still...it's pretty straight forward, right?

Gah.  I loathe being 1/2 naked in front of yet more people.  Gah.

My RO appointment was probably about 30-45 minutes.  After they took my vitals, then the RO's assistant came in, did a breast examination (on what breast...haha) and asked a lot of historical questions.   After that, the RO came in, went over my pathology report and talked about radiation...my need for it, risks, etc.   Mine is probably different because I haven't had chemo but maybe it might be somewhat the same for you.

Juliet62 - I noticed that you have much the same diagnosis as mine.  Why did they recommend or do radiation for you?

to reduce the rate of reoccurrance, have a lot of risk factors, no children, sister who had breast cancer, work nights, overweight!, i'm good with my decision as my path report went for a 2nd opinion because the path group could not agree on diagnosis( i knew i was strange) but the 2nd said dcis, but a major deciding factor in accepting reccommendations was the phrase a lot of cell activity!    my hormone studies came back at 99%er/96%pr so  get tamoxifen to,  my sister's was er/pr -but her2 +, and she 's clear at 5 years.ps diagnosed on routine mammogram, no other symtoms!
