I think I fell out of the loop somewhere.  Who's KK? The only person I can think of is Kona Kat.

    Welcome Carollynn!

I like Nicole Johnson, have any of you here seen her "Stepping into the Ring" drama on BC?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_yivlcCpB4

It makes me cry a little, but I like it.  I saw her do it live, several years ago.  I cried then too, but never thought I'd be one with BC.  Life is full of surprises.

    Blessings to you all.

Please be in prayer for my friend Julee this week.  She was diagnosed last month.  Her lump is so large that a lumpectomy is not an option apparently due to the amount of leftovers, so she has opted to have a single mastectomy, as MRI showed other breast clean.  However the MRI also shows suspicious lymph nodes.  She is having mastectomy & SNB on Friday 6-17.  She is just now 40 & is more scared about how her husband, kids, sister & mom will handle everything.  She & I had a good talk Saturday.  She is a Christian & went up for altar call yesterday & got annointed, she said.

Eph3_12 - Praying for your friend Julee.  <3

Linniea - praying you won't get sick at the beach cottage.  I hope you are able rest and enjoy yourself.

I'm thanking God for some good news....I met with a new PS this afternoon and he was very pleasant. He has also had experience with "deconstructing."  He thinks it can all be done with fairly good results, and that it can be done later this month.  That's sooner than I was expecting, but it would be wonderful to get it over with this summer, before school starts in the fall.  (I work at a college and things get super busy in August/Sept., so not a good time to take off for surgery.)

I will definitely be praying for Julee and for you, Lynniea.  May you enjoy your time of restoration without pain or illness.

Calling for prayer  for DIL Beth and Baby-Boo.  It appears Boo's arrival is eminent.  Perhaps tomorrow as she is in early stages of labor right now.  We will be leaving here on Wednesday after work and hopefully we will arrive after Boo has.  I told them I wanted to spend as much time with them rather than in a waiting room.  Thank you in advance.

A prayer request on my end... my son's friend was diagnosed with cancer today. It is such new news I am not sure which kind, I think it may be Leukemia! She is in her early twenties. I can't imagine how her parents are doing. I keep saying "God you are more than enough!" Thanks so much!

June 14 is an honorable day for a birthday-Flag Day!  Since mine is the 4th of July I always enjoy Flag Day as a precursor to what decorations look like just a couple/few weeks later.  Come on Baby Boo-be a Flag baby!

Lynniea-praying your beach trip will be wonderful & without chemo complications.

kcl-let us know more when you do!

    FYI:

In the United States, Flag Day is celebrated on June 14. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States, which happened that day by resolution of the Second Continental Congress in 1777.[1]

In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation that officially established June 14 as Flag Day; in August 1949, National Flag Day was established by an Act of Congress.

Flag Day is not an official federal holiday, though on June 14, 1937, Pennsylvania became the first (and only) U.S. state to celebrate Flag Day as a state holiday, beginning in the town of Rennerdale.[1]Title 36 of the United States Code, Subtitle I, Part A, CHAPTER 1, § 110[2] is the official statute on Flag Day; however, it is at the President's discretion to proclaim officially the observance.

One of the longest-running Flag Day parades is held annually in Quincy, Massachusetts, which began in 1952, celebrating its 59th year in 2010.[3] The 59th Annual Appleton Wisconsin 2009 Flag Day Parade featured the U.S. Navy. The largest Flag Day parade is held annually in Troy, New York, which bases its parade on the Quincy parade and typically draws 50,000 spectators.[1][4]

Perhaps the oldest continuing Flag Day parade is at Fairfield, Washington.[5] Beginning in 1909 or 1910, Fairfield has held a parade every year since, with the possible exception of 1918, and celebrated the "Centennial" parade in 2010, along with some other commemorative events.

Thank you for the information.  I was oblivious.  Boo's daddy is a vet and works for the military.  It would be fitting.

Praying for the safe and sound delivery of Boo!!! Then we can call him/her a real name. My son jokingly called his baby-in-waiting George as the other grands were Zachary and Fynnigan. We called the lump George for 9 months and when he was born he stayed George!! Boo will always be a nick-name though.

My son was Boo Boo because we used to call him that when he cried. When he fell we would laugh, he'd look at us and stop crying and laugh with us. If he stayed crying then we knew he was really hurt and not just reacting to the accident. My MIL got a winter hat made with his nick-name on it; Boo Boo. I looked very young for my age (23) and one time in a grocery store I heard a lady say to her friend that I shouldn't be admitting he was a boo boo!!!! He WASN'T!! Made me stop using THAT hat on him!!!

Long story, but lots of good wishes!!!

    Thank you!

Matt's nick name (or one of several) was Beamer.  He had a smile that would beam when ever you looked at him.  He was such a light of life.  (He still is).
