apple cider vinegar?
hi ladies, i remember hearing from one member - i think sdstarfish - that apple cider vinegar can be used to help detox one's liver. i've been taking the dose on the bottle (Dr. Bragg) - not too bad. Anyone else have ideas or experience with this stuff or just on liver detoxes?

Hello!
I know my sister used to take a tablespoon of vinegar every morning for weightloss, as it is supposed to cleanse the liver and help with digestion and metabolism. I also found a site today where it says:
"Taking a teaspoon of raw organic, unrefined Apple cider vinegar three times a day will be of benefit. As will a cup of ginger and lemon tea first thing in the morning (just slice ginger, squeeze in a lemon or lime and add a little raw honey)."
The article is about how to get your body in balance regarding acidity. You can find it under 'herbs that may increase reccurence..."

Elmcity, Do you see any results of the ACV yet. I have recently started taking 2 tbsps of Braggs ACV with each meal because the many benefits I've read about. Lots of old-timers swear by it, it seems. I am hoping weight loss will be a side effect!

I always have an intention to incorporate ACV into my routine. My blood pressure is borderline too high and I know for a fact that ACV brings it down. My main problem with it is the SMELL. omg, I cannot STAND the smell of that stuff. I must have some kind of repressed horrific memory associated with dying easter eggs because the smell of cheap ACV gives me instant nausea. blech blech and more blech!
The only way I can get it down is with a 2 oz shot glass. water, acv, water water -- 8 oz total

althea, you might try mixing 2 teaspoons (I do 2 tbsp) with 8 oz of water and some stevia or honey. I dont like it either but it makes it a little more palatable. You could also try warm water, ACV, stevia and some cinnamon. Kind of reminds me of warm apple cider.

hey, i don't know about the ACV - i mean, i take it, but no weight loss yet. darn it! lol
seriously, i started taking it for the liver cleanse. i just put 2tsp in very cold water and chug it. i'm used to it by now, actually, probably because i like sour/tart tastes.
impositive, i like your apple cider recipe! going to try it. that would taste good in winter, i bet.
